• Criticism on my vocals?

Lately I've been trying to improve my voice but I still feel like I don't sound very good. If you guys have any tips/criticism on how I can improve I would really appreciate it. My mic is a CAD u37 with a pop filter that doesn't seem to work terribly well as you can tell in the vocal-only versions. You can tell near the end of the songs my voice gets worn out, but I suppose that's just something that gets better with simple practice. I've been singing for about a year or so now, and I've never had any kind of formal practice. Here's a few, with vocal-only versions as well so you can actually hear my voice: Staind - So Far Away Staind - So Far Away (Vocals) Red Hot Chili Peppers - Dani California Red Hot Chili Peppers - Dani California (Vocals) Again, any criticism is appreciated. Thanks!
I'm not a good singer but do you breathe from your diaphragm or your lungs? Breathing from your diaphragm relaxes your vocal cords and allows more use of air.

I'll try working on that, thanks!
A great way to train to use your diaphragm is to sit against the wall, so that your knees are bent at 90 degrees.
You definitely have potential but as posted, get that diaphragm under control and you'll be set.
