I need help on muscle recovery time and I didn't know where to post it.
I am on my highschools football team and we practice for 6 hours a day 6 days a week and it's getting to be too much. I'm sore all the time and I want to begin lifting weights on top of it. I can barely walk without them hurting but It's not even about the pain I can notice I'm not going 100% because of it.
So my question is should I be taking in more protein or vitamins or anything really. I can't miss practices or I'm off the team. Is there anything I can do to make my muscles recover.
Generally, if you're doing sports, you lift shit off-season and in-season you stay and just do the practices and maybe light lifting on the side.
Truth is, while lifting weight will help you for strength, techniques and abilities pertaining to your sport will be much more useful than raw strength.
