• The new "saw" ride at Thorpe park.

If there's already a thread like this then can a mod lock this? Not sure if there's a Thorpe park in america so sorry american facepunchers Well yesterday night the new saw ride was premiered at Thorpe park, and as you can probably i guess, i went (along with around 1000 other people). Well when we got there it was around 7:30 (pm) which i know you're thinking is rather odd, but this is because the ride was opening at 8 pm. So for that half an hour we got to go on the few other rides they had open, of course anyone who has been to Thorpe park will understand that it's rides range from the generic roller-coaster, to the crazy spinning things. But anyway, onto the ride: Essential when you reach it you are greeted with the view of what appears to be an old saw mill, with random actors out front and some crazy girl using an angle grinder on slabs of rock attached to your arms/chest/crotch, pretty creepy. When you get inside (to the line) you are greeted with a screaming girl attached to a generic saw trap(i think it's the one that twists your body around until each limb snaps) with another actor wearing a red mask and a cloak prodding at her and activating the trap itself. Walking further up the stairs until you reach a chain to stop people and break them up into easier to handle groups, basically the the most blatant actor in the world stand nearby looking as menacing as a skinny, spotty 18 year old can until the time comes where you are allowed through and he says the few scripted lines about "being ready" and "making sure not to make any mistakes or you'll die or something", then a little bit of waiting (not for me, they let us on first, yep we where the first to ride, along with the producer (i think, might have been writer or something) of the saw movies. Now the very start is by far the strangest part of any ride i have ever seen i my entire life, this is mainly due to the fact that jigsaw is giving the safety instructions, so anyway the ride starts and moves slowly round a corner into the gut of the sawmill, where you are greeted by oddly glowing swinging blades, but (WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGH) you plummet downwards before reaching your death, you do some generic turns then slow down as you do a corkscrew through a hallway that has a random dead guy on the floor, now i would have more detail at this part but during this slow corkscrew they spray you in the face with water so its kinda hard to see, but anyway, you get outside, get some speed up, more generic turns and then you get to the best bit, you slow down at 2 TVs above you, jigsaw flickers on and whispers "Game over" then you slowly rise directly upward at a 90 degree angle, hover at the top for a few seconds then take an immediate dive at a 100 degree angle, which seriously is one of the best experiences ever, a few more loops here and there greeted by cold winds, under a bridge thing, another loop a corkscrew and then the end. As you pull up to get out of the ride you may notice a glass box full of mannequin parts and the little toy thing face that rides in on the tricycle in the movie, which is actually the real prop they used. Edit: Pictures Sadly i don't have any pictures from inside because my phone blurs pictures horribly if i move while taking them and they wouldn't let me stop to take a pic. Edit: Got 2 pics from the very start of the line, not amazing but whatever. I've been on that ride too, pretty awesome.
yeah you don't have to only be sorry to americans, (and you wouldn't anyway) but don't forget that it's not just americans and english
yeah you don't have to only be sorry to americans, (and you wouldn't anyway) but don't forget that it's not just americans and english
What? I'm sorry because i don't know if there's a Thorpe park in america. Don't get your knickers in a twist.
When I went to Thorpe park its like a multi cultural state, so many foreigners in there. Apart from that the queues are so bloody long most of the time, apart from the time we went there on a winter day there were actually no queues for anything apart from stealth, was awesome we just went on Nemesis over and over without having to queue, the guy just kept sending the carriage through =D.
i live like a 15 minute drive from thorpe park. i'd go more but the tickets are soo expensive and at the moment i can't really afford an annual pass.
older people say that to younger people, get it right
Fair enough, anything else you want to tell me?
Are you Richard Hammond?
older people say that to younger people, get it right
No they don't, anyone can say it. There's no such thing as an age limit on sayings.
Fair enough, anything else you want to tell me?
He meant that there aren't only Americans and Brits on the board, apologise to all the Europeans or some retarded shit. Would you say Saw is better than Colossus or meh? [img_thumb]http://i423.photobucket.com/albums/pp317/GigaKing/IMG_0300.jpg[/img_thumb] Jesus Christ, what the hell? And is the giant sawblade a feature of the ride? :v
Are you Richard Hammond?
No, but that would be rather cool.
The grinder women, I think she was on the TV a while ago, she had some underwear made out of steel and for shows she would use an angle grinder on it. Quite weird.

Also speaking of lines Hard to read but it says "waiting time: 0 minutes"

I hate rollercoasters. They scare me and I don't like them. They give me a bad adrenaline rush, the sort that you wouldn't want to have again. Even so I have visited Thorpe park, Alton towers and chessington way more than any of my friends. Honestly I don't know why I've been so much.
I will be heading there later next month maybe, wait till the popularity dies down. Is it as scary and baddass as all the hype made out? Is the theming up to scratch?

Is the theming up to scratch?
Pretty well themed, when you leave the ride I'm pretty sure you see jigsaws head in a bowl or something freaky like that, it was hanging from the ceiling and there's traps from the movies around it, it wasn't very scary but then again rides never really are. Forgot to mention before the slow corkscrew at the beginning there is this weird bit where you get freezing air blown into your face by what i can only assume to be machine-gun crossbows.
i found fright night at thorpe park to be pretty scary, shame they didn't open it then
Thorpe park is tiny compared to a Six Flags. I was disappointed when I went there.
That's pretty cool, but you should arrange the OP in paragraphs a bit, it's kind of hard to read.
yeah you don't have to only be sorry to americans, (and you wouldn't anyway) but don't forget that it's not just americans and english
Someone feels left out.

That looks incredibly dangerous and unsafe. How the hell did that get past health and safety. You ride into a bloody sawblade.
