• Selling original movies (VHS)

Not going to sell them here directly, i just need advice, so don't close this just yet. My parents owned this video rental store during the 90's and we have currently about 1000/1500 movies (In VHS format) So we need money and we wish to sell all of these, i'm wondering if anyone could give me a clue on how much we could sell for each film (we even have a huge porn stash as well, 50+) And i'd also like to know how the market is right now, like, how many people are interested in this 'vintage' stuff. EDIT: Any help would be appreciated :D:D
Keep the porno!
Just put them on eBay in lots of 50/100/whatever, not too many people are going to want just one, and those who do won't be willing to pay much more over a dollar especially seeing how they've all been opened and passed around a lot
Yeah that's what i tought. for instance selling an Action Pack with like 50 action movies of the sorts
Give them to me I will be indebted
what
You could either class them by the genre, or by the actor/actress. Like a Robert Downey Jr. pack or something
yes, this is the kind of feedback i was hoping for, can you give me more?
I am sure there will be eager collectors for the rarer ones, sort through and do some research on how different issues of the same movie defer in value. Dont expect to sell them at the valued price though, only if you're lucky Sort the cheepos and the good ones then sort them like the above idea
rip porn to dvd :pervert:
Not many bidding high for vhs on ebay, try different groups
Like others said, sort the good movies from the bad, and put them into groups either by actors (if you have many movies of the same actors), or genre. If there's a flea market near you, or going to happen soon, you should try selling them there. A lot of people sell old stuff there, including VHS tapes.
If you have series sell them together. So have genre packs. Series packs. Actor packs. Then sell them starting the bidding at around $1 each and see how it goes.
How many of the movies have their original case? I think that would increase the value depending on the condition.
How many of the movies have their original case? I think that would increase the value depending on the condition.
they are all in their original casing, their condition varies because since they were rented often some casings might be a bit degraded
VHS is only worth about 2 dollars each
if i sold all the movies for 1€ each i'd be happy
if i sold all the movies for 1€ each i'd be happy
obviously, but it isn't in high demand.
yep which will be a pain in the ass to sell
