Most Fords contain recycled materials in their interiors. Its eco-friendly, but premium feeling/looking they are not. All they are concerned with is that they durable and they are for the most part.

You can get some fairly nice interiors in fusions and explorers and the like, but the focus/fiesta are noticeably behind the times on interior quality. You're mostly buying them for the gokart-for-the-road feeling they have.
I don't care much for VAG products, but they do economy interiors well.
I can tell you from sitting in my friend's Ford ST, the interior truly is night and day compared to the VW GTI.

I'm not sure if its connected to the headlamps and is a night only thing but when he turns on the blinkers the light bars on the wing mirrors don't turn on aaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I will say, his review was what I was expecting. It's nice to see he likes the car a lot but I knew he was gonna riff on it for the review.. and yes I too hate the plaid seats, plastic oil pan and soundakor thingy.

The plaid seats is my favorite aspect of the GTI, aren't they optional though?

I WAS WRONG. LEATHER NON-GTI seats are on the SE and Autobahn GTI's but only those and with those ones they are NOT optional.
I love my plaid seats I think they're great
I will keep my Leather with red trim seats over the plaid any day.

Had one of these, the 2.0l engine is completely indestructible, revvin to the max a shitload and never had any problems over 2-3 yrs.

That interior looks like it's trying too hard to look expensive and failing miserably
The fake leather looks better than the curb-side couch plaid design, TBH.
My Focus RS had that fake engine noise crap. I gave it a week to see if I could enjoy it. Needless to say, it was unplugged in a week and now I don't have fake Subaru Boxer noise in my interior now.
