London, Kent, Essex, Cambridgeshire and the Midlands are among places affected. In Market Bosworth, Leicestershire, 21mm of rain fell in less than an hour, the BBC Weather Centre said. The Met Office has issued a yellow warning - "be aware" - for rain for parts of England, Wales and Scotland. On Monday, 33.5C (92.3F) was recorded at Heathrow and Northolt, west London.
It started coming down here about half an hour ago. Heaviest rain I've seen in a long time, along with very frequent flashes and cracks of lightning. The Met Office has issued a severe rain weather warning for much of Britain
Enjoy it, seems you all earned it.
Didn't get any here, pretty disappointed :( EDIT: Scratch that, it just started pissing it down!
here come the temperature badasses!
fucking storms kept me up all night
This is some messed up weather
I woke up thinking the world had ended. It was my dripping wet cat on my face whilst thunder went off ... :/
Zeus is displeased with our blatant abuse of the gift of good weather. On a side note it's still humid as hell and I was woken up by the loudest crack of thunder I've ever heard, god dammit.
I could use a good thunderstorm here. I love thunderstorms. I can stay up all night just watching the lightning.
I already miss the sun
The fuck am I going to moan about now!
please tell me the UK is equipped to handle rain... God is angry at you guys for censoring porn
My first thought this morning was "Well, it's the apocalypse, at least I'm getting a lie in."
Wow england why you all freaking out over rain, i live on europa and we have ammonia storms for like 27 hours a day jeezus what pussies
Wow england why you all freaking out over rain, i live on europa and we have ammonia storms for like 27 hours a day jeezus what pussies
Pfffffft, ammonia. You Europans can't handle anything. I live on HD 189733b. It rains glass here.
"explosive climaxes" the rain must be God finishing all over england
I woke up 1 minute before it started over here in Darlington. A fucking huge crack of thunder and then hell was unleashed. I fucking love the rain, this is long overdue. :v:

Fucking hell, the thunder woke up my entire family at around 3 in the morning. The loudest thunderbolt I think I ever heard and I bolted up out of my sleep thinking there had been a fucking explosion on the road outside or something. I suppose I prefer it to the ungodly heat, though.
On Monday, 33.5C (92.3F) was recorded at Heathrow and Northolt, west London.
I live in Australia and we get his pretty much every day in the summer. Is this meant to be a shocking statistic?
Woke up last night with the thunderstorm constantly thundering and I just went back to bed. My cat didn't even get woken up.
I live in Australia and we get his pretty much every day in the summer. Is this meant to be a shocking statistic?
Yes, it is.
I live in Australia and we get his pretty much every day in the summer. Is this meant to be a shocking statistic?
It is when your usual summer is more like 22.5 and cloudy
Why has the weather been so fucking strange this year? We go for years with nothing but rain every day, and then suddenly there's snow, heat and storms.
Why has the weather been so fucking strange this year? We go for years with nothing but rain every day, and then suddenly there's snow, heat and storms.
Damn, don't I have an inconvienent truth for you...

You know, you UK guys wouldn't get so much shit for complaining about the "hot" weather if you didn't make 100 threads about it.
