Wasn't sure what I expected, but I thoroughly enjoyed this.
I particularly enjoyed the Ylvis and Dragonforce interpretations.
I really amuses me how much fun the guy has by playing the guitar. Love it.
An SM57 for the spoken part at the end.
That's an uh...interesting choice.
Amazing. He's really got that style down.
Now I want to hear a full cover of E1M1.
[JESUS CHRIST]
E1M1 pretty much sounds like a more distorted country rock song, and I love it.
Hell, listening to this has pretty much made me realise that AC/DC seem to have really heavy jazz and country influences.
I would pay money for something like this.
He nailed it.

You know it's both an instrument and vocal microphone, right?

E1M1 is pretty much influenced by Big Gun, so that's why it sounds like it when he's playing it AC/DC style :v:[/QUOTE]
I thought it was common knowledge that E1M1 was based on the riff played during the chorus of No Remorse by Metallica

It is? I've only ever seen it used for instrument recordings.

It's mostly used for instruments yes but why wouldn't you want to use it for vocals? If you like the way it sounds then you should just use it (or if you have nothing else).

A lot of people seem to forget AC/DCs roots. When they started they were Blues Rock, Jazz Rock and as they played over the years they got heavier, especially after the death of their lead singer Bon Scott. When Brian Johnson took his place they went into more Hard Rock than anything.

ac/dc wasn't really that hard in the beginning
That drum cover perfectly imitates the sounds of ac/dc.
When I heard the Robot rock thing I could only think of the Original song that came it from. That being Release The Beast by Breakwater

What does this have to do with anything in that post?

Is there a mod that replaces all of the music in Doom with the music it took its stuff from?
That fucking Dragonforce cover was sick as shit and I'd LOVE to hear a full version done like that.
I demand a full cover of Robot Rock
the guy plays guitar really well and these covers are great, but his recording setup leaves a lot to be desired and sounds like a line-in recording straight out of an amp

Fun fact here, an SM58 and SM57 use the EXACT same capsule, if you order the capsule from Shure it has the same part number. There is actually a little studio trick which I have done when I ran out of 57s where you take the windscreen off an 58 and you pretty much end up with a 57. The windscreen rolls off some of the high end and when you take it off you would be hard pressed to notice a difference between an 58 and a 57 in most recordings.
This guy capture the blandness of AC/DC pretty well
most of these songs have too many notes for ac/dc
