Has anyone ever tried the stuff? If you have what was it like and is it easy to get it?

Anyway. No matter what anybody has told you. Datura is not worth it. End of story. I'm echoing what everyone else has said. There's no hedonistic, spiritual or antipsychotic benefits reported from Datura. It's pure insanity in a pod. I remember writing about the difference between seed pod potencies last night. I'll rewrite it now.
There are many different varieties of Datura. Pods at different ages and different species (impossible to determine even as an experienced Botanist as I'm SURE you are [/sarcasm]) and can range between 1-5x potency of eachother. For something so insanely acutely cardiotoxic you'd have to be mad to begin with to embark on a Datura disaster. That's what it is. I cannot implore you enough not to try Datura. It's not even worth it in the name of science. Please heed my warnings. Or you will suffer greatly. I can almost guarantee it.

I wasn't planning on it, I would never do Datura or any other stimulant (I have a heart disease).

It's very easy to get in most places. Grows in my garden and in the gardens of many other people.
Taking it is just a case of opening a seed pod, counting a safe amount of seeds and chewing them away.
Reading the other thread often tempts me to try some but at the same time, scares me shitless.

There is no way to judge the potency of the seeds. 1 seed pod could be 500% as strong as another seed pod. Why would you bother taking the risk?

Datura is also used in small doses as potentiator for other psychedelics.
Datura and other plants that contains the same chemicals are all really bad for you.

I know I will do it at some point in my life, but once will be enough.
When I do it, I will organise to have 1-2 of my closest friends as sitters and will remove any and all dangerous objects from the house. Basically, when I do finally try it down the track, it will be in the most controlled situation possible.
I never trip visually. Everyone says they had vivid hallucinations. Maybe the seeds I ate weren't very potent. I just ended up passing out a few hours after eating them.
I saw a heap of datura plants near my house a while back, and after reading about the reports online, I walked away without a second thought.
Doesn't matter how curious you are, it won't be worth it.
