The amount of time he took before flinging himself off the building, to try and get out of the tower made me hurt.
As for Dying Light, it's a pretty fun game. Not as optimized as I'd like, but I cannot really say much for a game with as much detail in it, and explore-able buildings in it.
If this came out without Dead Island before it, it'd blow everyones socks right off.

you'd think though he'd record a ton then actually edit out the shit long bits that are boring and put dialog in over the top.

That doesn't actually solve his complaint about crafting, instead of clicking the mouse button and crafting something and waiting you hit enter and craft something and wait, which is a pain when you want to craft something multiple times, you shouldn't have to spam the enter key to get multiple items.

Being good or bad had nothing to do with the video in this case. I don't think that him making a few mistakes will sway anybody's opinion of the game.

This isn't really an excuse to deflect valid critcism. Recording gameplay and commentating over it would be a much better solution for this kind of problem as other posters mentioned.

It isn't a great criticism, he does things this way for a reason, if he did it where he recorded gameplay and made a script for it to address certain things that came up, and cut around to show gameplay it would take significantly more time and would be more of a review. This is a first impressions style video where he plays the game and gives his thoughts of certain aspects while playing it, allowing him to talk for extended periods about points he wants to make, while also being able to address and demonstrate things as they come up without breaking his thoughts up.
I am just guessing that this is why he does things but it makes the most sense to me.
