Rapper, Lupe Fiasco beat Daigo at the SFV launch event. Starts at 5:00 if you don't care much for the intro. Pretty fucking crazy ending, worth watching imo. [sp] Possible it's staged, but I still enjoyed the video greatly. [/sp]
If it wasn't staged, then Daigo was being a nice guy and giving him a fighting chance. The ending looked legit, but there were times where it was obvious Daigo was having mercy. That said, it was rather exciting to watch, and it shows that it doesn't take long to learn a character in Street Fighter and start getting into the competitive scene (which was probably the goal of the match). Makes me wish I could shell out 60 bucks for SFV.
That was a great match, staged or not, fuckin' awesome. The commentator with the higher pitched voice was annoying as all hell though.
The announcers were way too "wild & k00ky" for me to bear watching more than two minutes at a time.

Doubt it was staged. Daigo probably thought it was ft5 and was obviously sandbagging (at certain times) and being merciful. [editline]16th February 2016[/editline]
Daigo also has little SFV experience.
and you have to factor in the jet lag too.
Honestly, this is Daigo we are talking about, if he was playing 100% he would have slaughtered him. Not that it really matters, Lupe was actually playing pretty well, I understand he has no competitive experience, but he's obviously played his fair share of Street Fighter. You can see it in how he plays. And also there's Street Fighter references in his music so
