[thumb]http://www.complaintslist.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/newegg-1024x731.jpg[/thumb] Newegg today announced that its award-winning e-commerce website is now available to online shoppers in India, Ireland, Singapore, New Zealand, Poland and the Netherlands. Serving these new countries—first revealed at Computex in Taipei this year—is the latest step in Newegg’s ongoing global expansion efforts and extends Newegg’s availability beyond the U.S., Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. Starting today, customers from these countries can visit Newegg.com and purchase a wide selection of products. As with Newegg’s recent expansion into the United Kingdom and Australia, the new international stores will have a limited selection of products to start, but availability will continue to grow and improve in the coming months. Customers from these regions are encouraged to shop and provide feedback, which will help shape the continued improvement of Newegg’s global presence. “We’re excited to continue bringing the Newegg service, products and deals to a wider, more global audience,” said Soren Mills, Chief Marketing Officer of Newegg North America. “We’re committed to growing Newegg in these regions so people from all around the world can experience the stellar shopping experience our North American customers currently enjoy.” Newegg also added multilingual customer service that promises to greatly reduce any language barriers involved in a transaction. This support is available 24/7, serving customers for whom English is not their native language. The feature allows a customer to chat in their native language, which is translated instantly for Newegg’s customer service representatives. Responses composed in English are then translated into the customer’s language. The service offers Polish and Dutch language options, with more language support to come as Newegg increases its global presence. Not much of a difference in terms of price when compared with local retailers. Coupled with the shipping price on the site....
I'm curious to see how they will compete with Alternate in the Netherlands
Took them long enough, damn. Best company I've ever purchased parts from.
I'm curious to see how they will compete with Alternate in the Netherlands
It's actually been a loooong time since I've seen Alternate have the best price for the components I was looking for. Usually it's Azerty or Afuture at the top of the Tweakers.net pricewatch. [editline]12th August 2014[/editline] Though it's pretty nice that the Alternate showroom is very close to my workplace. [editline]12th August 2014[/editline] It's worth mentioning that apparently Newegg lists its euro prices without tax (which makes it seem as if everything is cheaper).
I don't care much about prices, I like not having to fuck with warranty, if I need it. Jimms.fi is brilliant with their warranties.
Nice knowing that scandinavia is less important to them than fucking poland.
I've really enjoyed using NewEgg for a long time now. Only recently have I been using other sites such as Amazon, but in terms of customer service and product reliability NewEgg has always been ontop for me. I do think their prices are slipping, but I still find myself going back to NewEgg even if the prices are slightly higher. Also guys should check out this addon http://www.hoverhound.us/ Will give you a price difference between several other tech sites when you look at the price of an item on those sites.
Nice knowing that scandinavia is less important to them than fucking poland.
Might be because they'd be met with stronger competition in Scandinavia? Komplett, inet, Webhallen, etc.
Might be because they'd be met with stronger competition in Scandinavia? Komplett, inet, Webhallen, etc.
Almost 100% sure they'd still make more fucking money than fucking poland, at least from my experience with waiting on polish people to load in dota and constantly slowing the game down in p2p games like sc2.
Awesome! I hope the computer tech prices are regularized here a bit. I had to overpay so much for my parts, but hopefully newegg will change that. So happy to hear this.
NETHERLANDS BUT NOT GERMANY ? WTF ?
Not much to cheer about tbh. Competition is nice I guess but prices will be adjusted to our more tax-burdened countries to meet profit margins, just like the websites we're already buying from have been forced to do.
Are you actually angry because Poland with it's 40 million inhabitants was chosen over Denmark?
Except I'm talking the entirety of scandinavia, not denmark, if you'd bother actually reading.
I use Newegg all the time because I have Shoprunner and I live near one of their warehouses in New Jersey, so I can have an item delivered next day for free or I can pick it up at their warehouse same day.
I guess it's always good to have new competition but I'd like to see them beat the likes of eBuyer and scan.co.uk.
Except I'm talking the entirety of scandinavia, not denmark, if you'd bother actually reading.
Scandinavia has 5 different languages(If you count Iceland) and a total of 4 unique currencies with a combined total of 26million people, as stated above Poland has one language and one currency sitting at 40million people. How fucking dare they.
Nice knowing that scandinavia is less important to them than fucking poland.
You're saying it like it was something out of the ordinary :v: [editline]12th August 2014[/editline] poland center of europe
Maybe they'll get some decent customer service then.
