no comment. [release]This is pretty messed up right here. On Tuesday, Russell Little of South Bend, Indiana was depressed and sitting in his backyard drinking. His dog was with him. So was his handgun. And Russell decided he was going to play a game of Russian roulette . . . AGAINST THE DOG. According to his wife, he actually put in one bullet and took a few shots at the dog. Horrible. But thankfully, the dog won . . . and the gun just clicked, no bullets were fired. Then Russell put the gun to his own head . . . and wasn't as lucky as the dog. He died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head . . . because he played a game of Russian roulette against a dog and lost.[/release] [release]A man in Indiana, U.S lost his life, when he lost during a game of Russian roulette against his pet dog. Russell Little, who was known to suffer from depression, had been drinking moonshine for several hours on Tuesday evening when he decided to play the deadly game, with his dog in the backyard of his home, in South Bend, Indiana. Russian roulette ends badly for man who was playing with dog At around 9pm Mr Little picked up his hand gun announced to his wife that he was going to play Russian roulette, it’s thought that he aimed at his dog a couple of time but let off empty rounds, before turning the gun on himself. Captain Jim Andrews, of the South Bend Police Department, told the local newspaper his wife ‘said he got tired of that, then put the gun to his own head and pulled the trigger’. On hearing the gunshot Mrs Little called the police and when they arrived her husband was still alive, he was then rushed to Memorial hospital where doctors battled to save him for 45 minutes. The local paper, the South Bend Tribune, said that an X-ray revealed the bullet entered just above Mr Little’s right ear and ended up lodged in the right side of his skull. Shocked neighbours gathered outside Mr and Mrs Little’s home after the incident, many said that they heard gunshots, but they had no idea what had happened.[/release] Sources http://valdostatoday.com/Radio/Rock108/Rock-Latest/A-Man-Dies-Playing-Russian-Roulette-Against-His-Dog.html http://www.shockingtimes.co.uk/russian-roulette-ends-badly-for-man-who-was-playing-with-dog/ http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/2011/06/09/2011-06-09_indiana_man_richard_little_played_russian_roulette_with_dog_shot_self_in_head_po.html

I feel sad because he was depressed. :smithicide:
I feel sad because he was depressed. :smithicide:
Playing russian roulette with your dog isn't okay. But when you're depressed it is !
At least the dog survived. :unsmith:
Horrible. On EVERYONE'S part.
According to his wife, he actually put in one bullet and took a few shots at the dog. Horrible. But thankfully, the dog won . . . and the gun just clicked, no bullets were fired.
I know the guy is an idiot and shot himself in a battle of russian roulette with a dog, but seriously, how can you say something like that? I don't care how much you like animals or hate the guy, favoring its life over the guy in ANY kind of imminent death situation is just rude. Everyone is going to say "good dog best friend, I'm glad it was him and not the dog" but they don't realize what they're really saying. They'd rather have the idiot, a fellow human being, die in place of the dog. I'd rather have NEITHER of them die. The guy could have gotten help and medication and NOT played russian roulette against a dog and lost. How's that for a solution? edit: and no, I'm not trying to start a flame war, it's my opinion, stop getting mad about it because you feel otherwise
Here we go.
It's an opinion, pal. If people have problems with it, they can get over it, because that's what I think and I said it. Sure, they can post their own opinions of MY opinion and start a flame war with each other, but that'd be just stupid. [editline]11th June 2011[/editline] (and yet it happens every time)

Such is life in Indiana. :saddowns:
Playing russian roulette with your dog isn't okay. But when you're depressed it is !
But its good because now he won't be depressed anymore cause he's dead. :unsmith:
I'm glad the dog survived
yeah im glad the dog lived who gives a fuck about that human anyway

Did you just break logic
yeah im glad the dog lived who gives a fuck about that human anyway
He shot himself, why should I give a fuck about him
Glad the dog won, not saying I prefer animal over humans life, it's just that the dog had no idea what was going on, had no way to defend himself or do anything. Guessing the rest of this thread is going to be about "omg dog should live over humans" If the wife knew what he was doing, why didn't she stop him?
For some reason I thought this would be in Russia.
If the wife knew what he was doing, why didn't she stop him?
Because he's probably fucking crazy, and had a gun?
She's probably glad to be rid of the moron.
Sure, he's a moron. But she could have done something rather then sit there and watch his drunk husband who's suffering depression put a bullet in a gun then play russian roulette with his dog. Depression does get people down and question why they should live, without help it really eats at someones head.
I hate this country.
Because he's probably fucking crazy, and had a gun?
She saw him load it, that would of meant she saw him go to his cabinet/draw and saw him grab some ammunition. Now to me that'd turn on a light bulb to stop him before he did something stupid. Expecially knowing he was drunk.
stay classy indiana I swear to god my state always has the weirdest people in the news, like that one guy who tried mugging someone with a sword and had facepaint all over himself
yeah im glad the dog lived who gives a fuck about that human anyway
Oh boy, here comes the moral high-grounders. He fucking shot himself, and tried to shoot the dog as well. It was his own choice to die, the dog didn't deserve to die if it had. I couldn't care less if he committed suicide, his choice, but the fact that he also tried to shoot the dog is pathetic.
Horrible. On EVERYONE'S part. I don't care if he's human. He was a monster. Being a human shouldn't be an automatic safeguard against death over other beings. Sure, it should be an advantage, we are humans after all, but if you have done enough horrible things then you deserve it. Osama deserved to die (and no, I wouldn't have denied the man a trial, but his death doesn't affect me. The world is better off without him.) Also funny how you tell people not to get mad about your opinion, yet you just told everybody else that their opinion was horrible.
Russell Little, you lucky dog... :v:
