If you haven't heard, there's this advertisement going around on youtube basically stating within 24 months, our wireless networks will be in crisis.
Unless of course we build a new wireless network NOW.
Of course I'm not believing this stupid shit but someone gullible might.
Discuss.

Doubt it, and I doubt everything that is said about everything related to that whole "wireless networks will be in crisis"
Are they talking about running out of IPv4 addresses? Because we're already transitioning to IPv6 and it's planned to not be too sudden of a change but still avoid issues of not being given internet access because your ISP can't assign you an IP address.
Could you perhaps give a link or source?
Assuming you mean we run out of addresses, then yes we'll have to change some infrastructure but it's not really that dire. It's not a USA problem but a world one.
No, it's not about IP addresses. It's about our signal strength and wireless capacity and that shit.
No, it's not about IP addresses. It's about our signal strength and wireless capacity and that shit.
It'd be nice if you provided a source or some evidence that this is actually happening and why.
No, it's not about IP addresses. It's about our signal strength and wireless capacity and that shit.
Yeah please source this
10 bucks says it's just good ol' fearmongering.

what are you even talking about? what signal strength? are we talking about mobiles?
I'm trying my best to find the advertisement as a video.
Damn greedy politicians. The world is running out of internets and we can't replace them.
We need an ALTERNATIVE
If it's an advertisement on Youtube videos, it was most likely paid for by some company trying to make money.
It sounds like some chain mail shit going around.
Because youtube adverts are totally a reputable source
I remember an article in NewScientist about this.
Basically there's a finite amount of of the EM spectrum dedicated to 3G and cellphone communications, and as more people use cellphones, the amount of bandwidth each one can have is reduced.

Air can only fit so many bits at once.
$10 says that it's just some bullshit story paranoid idiots tell everyone.
to the skeptics: believe it or not, there is such a thing as wireless scarcity. a lot of the mobile networks are slowly nearing general capacity for the ammount of mobile devices it can handle at any given time - this pressure is primarily due to people downloading videos, but it's also caused by other things too.
new 4G networks are being establish to help remedy the problem but the problem is the ammount of bandwidth that's pressuring on these networks is increasing with a lot of haste - carriers might just have to reestablish bandwidth caps for the majority of people sooner or later b/c of this.

so i'll take that $10

No $10 yet, you haven't proven anything and are yet to provide a source.
The scarcity problem can be alleviated by switching people between LTE and UMTS networks depending on what they're doing with their device, thus reducing the load on both networks.
Or in the case of carriers using prehistoric CDMA technology, switching between EvDo and LTE.
I don't want to run out of the EM spectrum :(
Lets start using ultraviolet, x-ray, and gamma ray radiation.

I'VE GOT IT! LETS MAKE THE INTERNET SO BAD THAT NOBODY WOULD WANT TO USE IT!
Problem solved.
This might hold some water if there were 100 billion people in the world.
