At the end of October, Donald Trump spoke in Gettysburg, Pa., and released a plan for his first 100 days in office.
The plan (below) outlines three main areas of focus: cleaning up Washington, including by imposing term limits on Congress; protecting American workers; and restoring rule of law. He also laid out his plan for working with Congress to introduce 10 pieces of legislation that would repeal Obamacare, fund the construction of a wall at the Southern border (with a provision that Mexico would reimburse the U.S.), encourage infrastructure investment, rebuild military bases, promote school choice and more.
God, again with the wall stuff. That shit will be such a flop.
So the wall is going ahead. How will that work?
So the wall is going ahead. How will that work?
It won't work.
Be prepared for Corporate America 2.0, Version Trump.
He's making Citizens United the law of the land and letting corporations rule everything.
If that was your primary goal in not electing Clinton
good job you did the opposite we now live in bizaro world.
He can build a wall that reaches to the fucking moon, it's not gonna stop people from tunneling right underneath it
lol can't believe america is even bothering with a stupid ass wall
He can build a wall that reaches to the fucking moon, it's not gonna stop people from tunneling right underneath it
not even that, most illegal immigrants in america are from overstaying plane visas so
He can build a wall that reaches to the fucking moon, it's not gonna stop people from tunneling right underneath it
We need to build a second wall underneath the first one
He can build a wall that reaches to the fucking moon, it's not gonna stop people from tunneling right underneath it
It's not even that so much as the fact that many illegal immigrants come here legally and then stay longer than they're allowed.
Again with that wall shit.
* THIRD, a requirement that for every new federal regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated;
We elected a 15 year old to be president of the United States.
fund the construction of a wall at the Southern border (with a provision that Mexico would reimburse the U.S.)
And just how, exactly, does he plan on making Mexico pay for that?
ITT: People who overreacted yesterday are overreacting today
Besides, the laws and loops that have to be passed and jumped through will at least take Trump like half a year, even with republican government. The Swamp is deep for some of the career republicans.
Now imposing term limits, that would be amazing.
It's not even that so much as the fact that many illegal immigrants come here legally and then stay longer than they're allowed.
which they do via aircraft for christs sakes
how does a wall stop that
Most illegals are in the US on over stayed visas and permits. They didn't smuggle themselves in.
Being educated in these facts was essential this year, but the majority of the US decided "No, facts are for fools.".
I am super intrigued to see how this wall thing will end up.
If Trump's smart he'll hold his ability to veto stuff the Republican congress would like to force through some of what he wants as well.
McConnell has been a long-standing opponent of term limits, as NPR's Susan Davis reports. "I would say we have term limits now — they're called elections."
You sure they aren't just gerrymandered dog and pony shows?
Do you guys think that a republican controlled congress will even allow it? To me it seemed like they were only distancing themselves from him before the election because they didn't want him to take them down with him when he failed spectacularly but Trump ended up winning so they might see him as an asset instead of a liability now.
All I asked was how the wall will work and how its going to be paid for. I dont believe im overreacting.
...and restoring rule of law.
What does this mean?
Good to see some actual ideas for reducing corruption.

term limits are the only thing that is appealing, getting rid of regulations, making citizens united as law of the land, repealing LGBT rights federally, and building a completely fucking pointless wall is enough to hate him

They may actually negotiate with Trump to reach compromises since he's technically a Republican and they don't necessarily need to keep up the retarded narrative they had for Obama. Trump might also just roll over, who knows.
I'm all for term limits for congress.

They will allow all the terrible shit like repealing Obamacare without a replacement, school choice, anti-environment, social conservatism et al.
They will either not vote on or compromise on some of the ethics stuff like congressional term limits and anti-lobbying proposals.
* FIFTH, I will lift the restrictions on the production of $50 trillion dollars' worth of job-producing American energy reserves, including shale, oil, natural gas and clean coal.
goodbye world
We elected a 15 year old to be president of the United States.
France has a similar system in place actually, it's to make sure the system doesn't get clogged by obsolete shit and to relatively limit the amount of obscure loopholes people can figure out.
So the wall is going ahead. How will that work?
He's going to pay for it out of America's pocket, attempt to get it from mexico (and fail), and then cut off all foreign aid to mexico to make it back, which will take
25 billion dollars to build the wall = $51.5 million in aid per year * 485 years
FOUR HUNDRED AND EIGHTY FIVE YEARS TO MAKE THE MONEY BACK
alright bets now
how many of these things will actually get done
I honestly didn't expect the wall to be made, but this is great

Enforcing high trade tariffs would be a start
