'Everyone lied to me': Hitler's rant in bunker

Guy Liddell, the former deputy director general MI5, includes in his diaries a Joint Intelligence Committee paper detailing Hitler's final days.
During a conference on April 22nd, 1945, Hitler gave a speech to his assembled generals and Heinrich Himmler, his minister of the interior.
The report states: "Hitler came in at 8.30 a completely broken man. Only a few army officers were with him. Himmler urged Hitler to leave Berlin.
"Suddenly, Hitler began to make one of his characteristic speeches. 'Everyone has lied to me, everyone has deceived me, non[sic] one has told me the truth.
'The armed forces have lied to me and now the SS has left me in the lurch. The German people has not fought heroically. It deserves to perish.
'It is not I who have lost the war, but the German people'."
The report continues: "Then his face turned purple, his twitching left arm became quiet, and he could not put his left foot on the ground properly.
"Throughout that night he suffered from a nervous collapse and kept on raving that he would meet his end in Berlin."
The report states that he subsequently suffered a "nervous collapse" and "kept on raving that he would meet his end in Berlin."
On the night he killed himself however, Albert Speer, the then minister of armaments, said he was "calm".
"He said... Hitler had at last realised that his star had set and the war was lost. He told Speer that he awaited his death as a release from a hard life of difficulties.
"He said that he could not go out and die fighting on the barricades as he was afraid of merely being wounded and captured by the Russians. He would therefore shoot himself."
While witnesses said Hitler remained defiant to the last, however, Liddell's diaries also contain reference to a letter from Joachim von Ribbentrop, the German foreign minister.
Liddell writes: "He said that neither he nor Hitler had ever wanted a war with England and that he himself had always regarded England as his second home. He was sure the future lay in close collaboration between England and Germany."
What
Welp, this is disturbing. I mean it proves that Hitler was mental but still
What
England and Germany were bros really.
What
kind of odd, but he sent Hess to negotiate peace terms with the UK in 1941, although he got captured
What
Yeah, before and after invading Poland Hitler wanted to be friends with England and America. He thought invading the USSR would bring them to the diplomatic table.
What
this kind of notion has been known for ages

saxons n that
:(
I'm sure he just wanted some friends
Hitler's only real accomplishment was his ability to bullshit an entire nation into believing him
other than that he was mental, he had massive insecurities, and was a terrible tactician who led Germany into a terrible divided period
0/10 would not vote for hitler again
Hitler was such a faggot
EVERYBODY BETRAY ME, I FED UP WITH THIS WORLD!
Don't think I'm racist or anything after this comment but
It's really sad because if you forget the whole "holocaust" thing Hitler was just like any other person.
And he was a damn good artist too. If only the academy had accepted him, none of World War II probably would have happened.

I think you're disregarding his brilliance here.

It was inevitable, with or without Hitler.
Treaty of Versailles.
So that scene from Downfall actually happened?
So that scene from Downfall actually happened?
This was my immediate thought upon discovering this article. That's part of the reason why I posted it here, lol.

Oh hai, bullet.
Welp, this is disturbing. I mean it proves that Hitler was mental but still
You know, Hitler was on heavy medicine that has been now proven to be rather unhealthy. Probably messed with his head too, he slept rarely, and on his last days he couldn't stand properly for a minute without holding onto something.
I think he did fairly well considering that he never wanted three-front war, nor war against England. Italy sort of fucked things up for Germany by attempting to conquer Greece and North Africa only to get their shit slapped, forcing Germany to divert some of their forces and resources to help the stupid sods.
I mean I hate Hitler as much as the next guy but it doesn't make it any less sad to see a human being complete break down like that.
I thought it was general knowledge that he went a bit nuts toward the end. Then again, as mentioned maybe that's because I watched Downfall.

No it wasn't.
The German economy had recovered and the Extremist Communist and Nazi parties were suffering from a loss of support until the great depression came along.

The way people demonize Hitler is just absurd
The way people demonize Hitler is just absurd
erm you're joking right??? :(
Hitler was a douche. Shit, he even told Rommel to off himself or he'd kill his entire family.

All he needed was a hug
:(
poor hitler :'(
What
Hitler thought France and England wouldn't start a war with him due to Poland's invasion.
I mean they already allowed him to build a huge warmachine even though Germany was forbidden to do that after the 1st World War.
Welp, this is disturbing. I mean it proves that Hitler was mental but still
It does indeed, but I suppose when you weigh it down a little, many people probably would react in the same way in that situation.
He said it himself, his capture was pretty much inevitable. He made a lot of war generals more than slightly angry. If I knew I had that coming for me, I'd probably be doing more than just having a just a slight panic attack.
It would be a traumatizing choice. Face death with no hope of escape or take the initiative to end your life first.
EVERYBODY BETRAY ME, I FED UP WITH THIS WORLD!
YOU'RE TEARING ME APART, ALLIED POWERS!
The German economy had recovered
I'm going to need a source on that claim.
Germany had some of the highest inflation and unemployment Europe had ever seen before Hitler came to power. A lot of this was due to the great depression yes, but Germany was the country hit hardest and a lot of this stemmed from the minimal recovery of the hyperinflation in the twenties. The destruction of their economy was not the only reason for German scorn, however.
The Treaty of Versailles shamed and demonized the Germans. In a fervent spark of nationalism, I'm proud that America refused to ratify that treaty.
Hitler was a douche. Shit, he even told Rommel to off himself or he'd kill his entire family.
Because Rommel conspired to murder him in the 20 July Plot.
While the plot may have failed, his pants made the ultimate sacrifice.
