Older versions? As far as I knew this was a new IP in a sense.

That was an awesome preview. I went from not knowing this game existed to really wanting to have a go at it. Last city builder I played was Tropico 4.

He probably broke NDA
Why havn't I heard of this game before?
I looks great! I was one of the rare people to liked sim city but was pissed over the size
This seems too good to be true!
What a shame

This is the first game of the series. It isn't related to Cities XL or any of them.

I haven't heard anything about this.
For those who have watched the video, what did it say?
Can you build cities right next to each other?
Can you terraform?
Can you smash up a city and then load an old save?
Is it multiplayer?
If so, have they sacrificed anything at all for the sake of multiplayer?
Can you mod the game?
Does the game insist on using agents to simulate everything?
Did they bother with resources and specialization?
How well does it run?

Fuuuck, i really had my hopes up coming in here!
God dammit!
Bumped the thread since he uploaded the same video again, but this time with permission. Enjoy.
I'm sure he was really disappointed that you can't schedule nightly Bon Jovi concerts in this game

There's always room for future DLCs
Is it just me or does this look a lot like the new SimCity that everyone hated?

Dunno. I think it seems like the game EA promised us in the beginning that SimCity would be.
I really wish the UI was a lot nicer, looks bad at the moment.
Is there a city limit on how big it can be or can it be as big as you want?
Is there a city limit on how big it can be or can it be as big as you want?
36 square kilometers (9 tiles).
The community manager has stated that we will be allowed to mod the game and unlock it to 100 square kilometers.

Well this game doesn't have always-online DRM and it has larger cities, so that's already a big plus.
(I know SimCity 5 can be played offline now, but the online thing was one of the reasons it got so much hate on release.)

One of its trailers made quite a few pokes at Simcity 2013. It's looking like it's shaping up to be what simcity should have been, too.
Man, if only Sim City 2013 was like this. This looks awesome. I wonder if there will be day/night cycles, know it's still in beta, but never saw it go night. Not a big thing for me, but it'd be cool. One thing I liked about Sim City 2013 was when it was nighttime, and the skyrises lit the cities skyline well, along with the police lights flashing in the distance. It was an awesome thing to see.

They're not doing day/night cycles off the bat, as noted by TotalyMoo (their community manager) in the /r/citiesskylines subreddit AMA.
They might release a patch or DLC down the line for it though. Same for weather/climate stuff.
