anyone think they could pull it off? a facepunch app for android (iphone if your that desperate too) post some ideas here, and please try to refrain from immediatley shooting it down cause I know that's what a lot of you will do.
Only if it has a game where you drown garry using henzys hammer.
What would be the point exactly? Isn't there a mobile version already or is that IPB only?
This has been suggested many times and each time we've concluded that the website looks fine on mobile devices.
I look at facepunch on my phone all the time and I don't have any issues.
This is not an issue, and it never has been. FP is looking fine on mobile devices.
Theres already a facepunch app, its called, "Browser"
Facepunch looks fine on Sony Ericsson X10I too.

Same here. It's just an internet forum; if you can view images and youtube videos and type messages, you're good to go.
Just browse it with safari or whatever andriod uses.

It uses WebKit, which is basically Safari and the same thing as the iPhone.
Android 2.2 uses the exact same JavaScript engine that's in desktop Chrome though.
I'm on my iPhone right now, only complaint is that sometimes the buttons and ratings etc I have to hit a few times before it actually registers.

You have to hit it twice to work.

If I recall correctly, it's 3 clicks;
1. Click on the post, ratings appear.
2. Click on a rating, the rating becomes selected.
3. Click the rating once more, post rated.
Facpunch just should support TapaTalk. The implementation shouldn't be that hard.
Yes, browsing on FP is possible with a mobile device. But when you saw how good browsing is with an extra-app which cuts out every style and just shows the plain text organized by the app, you will notice how much better you can read on your mobile.
I put together a replacement stylesheet that makes Facepunch more accessible on mobile devices:

Which app can I use on the iPhone with this code to make show up like this?

You'll need to setup a proxy that replaces facepunch's stylesheet with this, and add the proxies IP to your device's /etc/hosts under the facepunch.com domain

A app is not needed
If garry could add www.m. support the problem would be fixed.
like www.m.facepunch.com or www.facepunch.com/mobile
But you need a script for that of course

An app is not needed, yes. But adding "www.m." support means optimizing FP for mobile browsing on that URL. That is much more work than just installing TapaTalk and letting people download & use the app on their preferred mobile platform (So far, iPhone, Android, Symbian and BlackBerry are more or less supported)
We don't need to add www.m or have an app. It works fine by just going on the browser.
I concur with TapaTalk.
Ok we get it, it works fine in the browser. Topic over.
TapaTalk is needed.
If the app isn't communist im not buying it

The obscure convert it to communism jokes are getting old.
