emojis are words, just not in the traditional sense, which actually makes this kinda exciting news
every time some dictionary announces they're putting in webspeak or whatever I see people on all sites get super pissy about it like "boohoo its not a real word", dictionaries catalogue the evolution of language. As far as I'm concerned, emojis are used often enough to be considered part of our modern language
