God damn this inspired me even more to take an education further towards engineering
The ability to make things like this would be amazing
I thought it was atleast a tad faster and wouldn't stop every few seconds.

That's model steam engines for you. I have a couple of mammod steam engines that were given to me years ago. I've run them a few times, but it takes like, an hour or two to oil them up and then get the water heated enough. And yeah. hideously underpowered, although mine run on paraffin tablets rather than gas.
Steam is just so inefficient for vehicles like this, because water doesn't mix well with the lubrication, steam pistons suck for extracting useful work (unlike turbines), and the whole set up is very heavy, as he showed at the start.
I wonder if he would have more success with using a flywheel rather than 3 pistons (my engines have 1).
That is cool as fuck. The pistons may not be as efficient but they sure look a hell of a lot cooler than a turbine.
It'd be cool to make something like that but I have zero skill in metal work and I'd probably cheap and put an electric motor on anyway.
Anyone else think the preview picture made it look massive?
This needs to be full scale.
I love how he showed off the suspensions before he showed off the engine itself
Goes to show that man has some real passion about what he does.
I suppose you can see it in his creations too because that is one heck of a steam punk trike.
I was expecting a little more juice from that steam engine.
Such a shame he chooses to use pistons over a turbine.
Could have way much more grunt with a turbine system but then again, exposed pistons look more impressive as a turbine system would be fully enclosed.
Either way it's godly on the detail he put into it, the suspension system alone is worth the video.

You do know steam cars have been around for as long as gasoline cars right
