The grave of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl whose parents claimed she was a “goddess” drew large crowds on Thursday amid conflicting versions about the manner of the child’s death and the suspicion that she had been buried alive. By the time the police moved in to break up the gathering at the grave in Kumher village, some 25 km from here, hundreds of villagers were streaming to the site, setting off alarm in the district administration.
A tent had quickly come up, prayers were being said, and a television channel arrived at the spot to air the proceedings live, showing visitors offering fruits, flowers and money at the site. The police later exhumed the body and sent it for post-mortem. The initial post-mortem report indicated that the child had acute diarrhoea.
:suicide:
I sure really fucking hope she wasnt buried alive.

They haven't posted the entire article on the website, but according to today's newspaper it was apparently the child's wish to be buried alive, according to the parents (yeah right, they're probably making this up.)
The child was apparently ill since birth, and the parents were taking her to various hospitals and doctors for treatment, even resorting to traditional faith healers and black magicians. As far as all this goes though, I smell a rat, there's no way she could have remained ill that long and survived, unless there are other facts that haven't been put out yet.
edit: scratch what I said, there's another page on the website where you can find this, they posted the other part as a different article.

Here's a piccie of the gravesite
Shrimati, mother of a girl who was allegedly buried alive near here on Thursday considering her as a goddess, told a television channel and other media that reached the spot that her daughter spoke of herself as a “goddess.”
The child, she said, had expressed the wish to be buried in “samadhi” in the compound of their house. The mother claimed Khushboo to be an “incarnation,” and said she had dressed her up like one before she buried, but could not tell if the girl had been dead or alive at the time. Vinod, the father, at first repeated the “incarnation” version, but later said the girl had an illness from birth, to treat which he had taken her to doctors in Gurgaon, Agra and Alwar and to “tantriks”.
The child apparently was experiencing visions and the like, too.
A 2,5 year old kid that asks to be buried alive. Yeah fucking right.
Goddess. She can talk if she wants to.
Also, it might be a story the folks made up to help themselves through the grieving process, or because they were overwhelmed by the loss of their child. People say crazy shit sometimes.
I'm just guessing, of course, but it seems like everyone else is guessing she actually was buried alive.
They are doing the investigation/inquisition thing. Plenty of time to burn the witches after they sink or float or how ever that knee jerk stuff is supposed to work.
I have a daughter who is nearly 2 and this makes me very upset to hear shit like this.
post mortem showed that she had acute diarrhea - really? that was it?
Talk about some fucked up shit here.
How fucked up is that acute diarrhea anyway?
acute diarrhoea
maybe it was a neo-shit goddess' avatar on earth?
"Diarrhoeal disease is the second leading cause of death in children under five years old. It is both preventable and treatable."
