Welcome to the questions megathread. I figured this would be the best way to answer people's questions and to get feedback from people who have either been in the same situation or are also in need of an answer.
[b]Here's how the process works:[/b]
[highlight]ASKING A QUESTION[/highlight]
1. Search for your question through the various means I have listed below.
2. If you cannot find an answer or solution to your question/problem then state clearly what the question is. Make it so that those who are reading can understand what the issue is.
3. Wait. If an answer isn't given, ask again at a later time. [b]Don't continually spam your question or you will be put on the naughty list.[/b]
4. If your question is answered, snip your post containing the question so that those who wish to answer don't waste their time.

[highlight]ANSWERING A QUESTION[/highlight]
1. If you know the answer to a question someone is asking, please answer it.
2. When answering, quote the post so that the poster knows what you are referring to.
3. After answering the question, it is up to the poster to snip their post.
4. After so many answers, you can be put on the "legit" list as someone who can legitimately answer a question.
[highlight]RULES[/highlight]
1. Use these search engines before you ask a stupid question that is blatantly obvious.
2. Don't ask stupid questions that just take up space in the thread. Ex. "How do I get a girlfriend facepunch???"
3. If you aren't comfortable with asking a question, PM someone who you think will be able to answer it privately.

Use Google as much as possible before asking your question. Google is probably the best search engine around and all you have to do is look. With the recent introduction of location based searches, it will also be easier to search for things and events near you. Google does image searches, videos, maps, news, shopping comparisons, email, translations, and documents from other internet users.

This is your second best friend. With thousands of videos being uploaded every minute, there has to be at least one person that has had the same issue as you. There is a video for almost every topic, except for porn. You can occasionally find porn on Youtube, but it is very rare. To narrow down results, use the search options near the top.

I'm sure we all know about this one. Famous for it's stupid questions and even dumber users, Yahoo Answers is home to hundreds of thousands of answered and unanswered questions.

Home to the reliably moderated articles and politically correct statements. Wikipedia is a great source of reliable information but can sometimes be misleading. Before taking a statement as fact, check the sources that the author referred to. Sources are found at the bottom of the page.

This is your last resort. If you can't find the answer anywhere else, look in the request section on [url=www.4chan.org]4Chan[/url]. Your question probably won't get answered but if it does, well done.
