i wouldn't consider this as badass as the other throw seeing as how the other one bounced through a little aperture where as this one was headed straight for a pack of enemies.
The Tomahawk should only do half the damage if it lands underneath the waist.

If you think that kills with tomahawk are unrealistic then try to jam an axe into your leg and then run around and shoot others. It might not kill you, but you would be completely useless at least for rest of the battle.
And if you think it's unbalanced, remember you have to sacrifice frag or sticky for it, which both can easily kill many enemies at once, and require much less aiming.

That's a terrible argument. By that logic every gun should be a 1 hit kill.

I gave BOTH realism and gameplay reason.
And clean bullet flying through flesh can be much better than hatchet embedded into limb.

Both can very well incapacitate a person.
That was one amazing throw. I haven't seen any COD "frag" videos that does not suck or features a crappy compilations of 360 degrees shots for quite a while

I threw a semtex once and hit somebody's claymore (and killed him). That was awesome.
