A similar attack that was random occurred Monday in Vancouver, Wash., where a woman threw a cup of acid on the face of 28-year-old Bethany Storro as she was getting something from her car before heading into a Starbucks.
The suspect, who Storro said told her "Hey pretty girl, do you want to drink this?" before she attacked her, still has not been found.[/quote]

Baking soda and an acid doesn't become exothermic enough to burn you, not to mention that I'd rather get heat burns than chemical burns.
