The specially marked women-only parking spots are marked with pink emblems of women and are much wider than normal parking places. Many critics say the idea that women can’t park their cars well enough to fit into normal sized spaces is offensive. In all the city of Seoul is spending $95 million on making the community more “lady friendly” including new “stiletto heel-friendly sidewalks” on city streets and installing nearly 7,000 women’s toilets around the capital.
I see progress.
as a man who doesn't often wear stilettos, what are stiletto friendly sidewalks?
wtf is this
wtf is this
$95 million apparently.
how would you even know a woman parked in those spots, I can see that not lasting so long
if a man parks in one of these women parks, is it like using a disabled park when you're not disabled?
Hahaha, this is so backwardly progressive. EDIT: "progressive".
do you get a ticket for not being a woman but then you could argue it saying you believe your a woman and therefore you should stop discriminating me and then you post on tumblr about how evil the parking inspectors are

I have been driving for years and I honestly still am not completely comfortable parking. Meanwhile my grandmother was a goddamn ace behind the steering wheel. Stereotyping it like this is god-awful.

I used to drive a 1983 Ford Fairlane landwhale and that thing was almost impossible to park properly and had a turning circle almost as big as the entire car park. Now I've got a 1997 Honda Civic Coupe and it's easy as to park.

I'm totally down for safer sidewalks (I'm guessing stiletto-heel friendly means no gaps in the pavement where the stiletto could get stuck), but the parking space seems outright offensive more than anything.

how about women invest in sidewalk friendly shoes
I saw this on local news and they had a sexism debate which was a hoot. But as a guy, I wouldn't complain about being given bigger car parks if it was my car. Means its less likely someone can damage it, so that's a win.
