New album came out since yesterday.
Time to support THE MOTHERFUCKING PRODIGY come next paycheck.
Oh shit new Prodigy, all my yes. I swear I've heard the backing track from 1:12 - 1:38 in one their other songs before, maybe Omen?
holy shit this is great, i completely forgot about prodigy
Personally I found most songs in the new album quite disappointing. It felt like half of them lacked the energy Prodigy is associated with.
A sunny vacation day, my convertible with a full tank, a new album of The Prodigy, seems like everything is set up for a little drive around the country
It's like Felix the Cat but super edgy. [editline]1st April 2015[/editline] Good song for a soundtrack, not too interesting though.
dnb is bad enough, why are they still doing this wierd sort-of-dnb but not shit prodigy hasnt been good since always outnumbered never outgunned (and even that only has a few good songs)
its called breakbeat rusty, also dnb is best
eh the new album is nothing on invaders must die imo

not sure what everyone's raving about? this is pretty bland
oh, i thought this was an april fools. first listen impressions: sounds a bit dull at the start, but it gets alot better, and it sure does sound like "classic" prodigy, no doubt about that
its called breakbeat rusty, also dnb is best
dnb was cool maybe in 2005 this song is so generic ive heard it a few times and still cant remember a single note of how it goes [editline]1st April 2015[/editline]
u wanna fukkin go
imagine listening to dnb in 2015 [editline]1st April 2015[/editline] prodigys best album will always be fat of the land followed by experience and experience expanded theyve been gosh awful for years now
I don't know how to feel about this album. I really liked the new stuff they played at their gigs last year, but none of them have made an appearance on the album ( Awol, Jetfighter.. ) which really upsets me as I'd say they were both stronger than a couple of songs on the new album. Most of the songs on this album are VERY repetitive, I know you can argue that prodigy's stuff has always been repetitive but the difference was that they all had a catchy hook ( poision, firestarter ) that all these songs lack, so you can't even tell if you are halfway through the song or at the end. I much prefer the style they've gone to compared to Invaders Must Die, but the critical issue is that there isn't that catchiness there. Destroy, Wild Frontier, Get your fight on are the stronger ones on the album in my opinion. Destroy has a great hook, glad they ditched Wiley from 2011 ( his version is very similar to the final one, but his lyrics are shit ). Wild Frontier is OK, but just boring, and get your fight on has the exact same beat as Take Me To The Hospital. But don't remotely get me wrong that any of these songs would sound fucking amazing live. It's worth giving the album a listen, but it really is not their strongest. Don't even ask about Ibiza. What the fuck even is that song.

And who listens to a genre because it's cool?
not sure what everyone's raving about? this is pretty bland
yeh it's pretty generic genre-music. i think if it was released under any other name no one would give a shit
Bland but listenable.
I'm with rusty on this one, The Prodigy has not put out anything memorable since Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned and this is no exception. Repetitive and not catchy. Though the problem with music like this isn't the genre itself, just the stagnation. I haven't heard anything really memorable in the EDM front in at least two years.
dnb was cool maybe in 2005
yeah lol who listens to music from 2005 like 40 years olds

The majority of the stuff on the new album is pretty uninspired and a lot of it just sounds fairly similar to each other. I get the feeling that Howlett's just phoning it in. I guess I'm just a bit more old school since I prefer the older style of Fat of the Land where they combine a lot of sampling with heavy drums and bass.
It's pretty good, actually. I'm surprised. I like this better than the last album actually.
