Hello there, are you too scared to play Nightmare House 2 without extreme sweating, jumping and crying? Or you don't just have EP2 or you wanna know how to complete that damn hard (easy) puzzle? You are in the right place then.

Well many people have said that they are too scared to play or they don't have EP2. And i actually got stuck at the final boss and that one puzzle.

Oh it's bloom config for Source Engine, it makes the game look hotter so i decided to apply it.

Nope. The entire game consists of cheap scares and thrills. It's a nice looking mod that obviously took a fair amount of work, but honestly, this isn't a scary game, it's a game that will scream at you and make you scared. The worst kind of scared, because it's just LAME.

The bloom was annoying, raped my eyes straight.
Kudos to sound artists, also the ending of part 3 was well original, very claustrophobic.

This is true, it was cheap, far too many scares no suspension.

After a few minutes I wasn't scared at all since I knew nothing could really hurt me.
Fun mod though.
he literally did the best he could do without writing in new npcs that have different behavior than the HL2 ones. the excellent mapping is a good enough reason on it's own to play through it.

Have you played the thing? show me something in it that can be count as a cheap/screamer scare.
Believe me, If I'd wanted I could stick people in a dark room and flash a shocking image in front of their face following by a bloodcurdling scream without a problem, but yeah, that's cheap.

Really, it isn't that bad. There are jump scares and general creepyness, but it's not [I]that[/I] bad.
The scariest part for me was when you're in the metal hallway that keeps getting smaller, then when you look up Emily appears. I didn't actually expect that to happen. :v:
But then I've played all the Penumbra games...

Loud noises, stuff jumping out at you, stuff appearing. It's cheap scares. It isn't a screamer as such like in that old maze game, but it's just as lame. It fails at building an atmosphere like in a good game like Silent Hill 2, there is no tension, as enemies are typical zombies, which again, come alive at random intervals just to try and scare you.
If you think this game is worth jack shit, go try Silent Hill 2, that's actually scary.
