I'm writing a essay over any topic for English, and need a good type of bomb. I need to blow up the Arctic and the Antarctic, and make the ocean levels raise and go into an Ice Age. Is there a present or future, within the next 25 years, weapon that can achieve this destruction?
Atomic bomb? except it might poison the water with radiation, IDK, science isn't my strong point.

I do not remember the exact name, but there was a conspiracy/rumour that the USSR had control over enough strategically placed underground thermonuclear weapons to essentially destroy the earth
(although that's going a bit far, some applied phlebotonum should do the job)
