hey i made this video for a japanese band i hope you like it
Oh man love the art style difference of the characters and the background.
How did you and Satellite Young team up? Did they come to you, did you come to them with the idea, etc?
Wow you have some serious talent

They followed me on twitter, and then I ended up contacting them about doing a song for Senpai Club. So they made the song as the ending theme for episode 3 which was a retro-styled episode, and then once I went to Tokyo we ended up meeting up a lot, having me do the filming at their shows and such. Doing a full music video was always planned but it ended up way more intricate than we figured it'd be at first, which is why it took so long

Sort of, yeah. I could keep going with it but after 3 years I kinda want to do something else, especially since the first episode was the biggest hit and it hasn't really reached the same numbers since
The music video kinda serves as a semi-finale, for now at least. Gonna work on a few new smaller animated shorts (though i don't know what they are yet) and then probably spend a few months working on a short film since I can keep myself afloat through freelance work which doesn't take up too much of my time. Then submit it to some film festivals or whatever and see what happens
Hopefully this music video will get a lot of spread and get me gigs doing music videos for other artists and commercials and such, if you do know anyone or a good place to spread it around then that would be super appreciated
It might be worth trying ABC's Rage program since they love playing submitted music videos but I don't know if they take submissions from outside Australia, also if they do take it I'll probably be played at 2 AM in the morning.
Also Eric you got me listening to Satellite Young, they're pretty good :ok:.

Well, we had a pretty complicated relationship and it didn't work out in the end

That kinda sucks.
On the other hand, if you were to continue Senpai Club it would probably never go anywhere, much like the shit it parodies. It was super hilarious for what it was, though.
