Really interesting video. Nice timing to watch this after the final episode of Sons of Anarchy.

That show is still in my backlog... am I missing out? Should I binge watch it?

Yes. Absolutely yes.
lol @ how there's an uncut scene of probably most of the club members on the workout roster...
All in all, they seem like a pretty decent group of people to hang out with. They're borderline cultist with some of their ideas, though. They look borrowed from the military - the whole thing about deconstructing the new guys' preconceived ideas and rebuilding them within their community, making them earn everyone else's respect at the cost of a few humilliating acts.
Also, the sea of whiteness in the night club, and among their members, sorta makes me think they may or may *not* welcome colored bikers - but then again, there may not be any, so it's not their fault.
If I didn't knew any better, I'd say they're pretty much Amish people riding choppers.

Hmm I'm sold. But holy balls, that's a lot of seasons!
I've hung around biker gangs for some time since a friend of mine was the son of a local MC president. Another of my friends wanted to actually join those guys and I thought about tagging along. I was 18 and pretty naive. I learned a lot about these guys and did a lot of research at the time, I've read every book on every mc of every country and those of undercover investigators. I could go on about these people for ages but the thing is pretty much, yeah, they can be peaceful, fun to hang out with and reasonably civilized. But what it all boils down to is that all this can change in the blink of an eye. Its mostly bullshit politics. People pretty much make up rules as they go, 'outlaw' symbols, names, insignia, determine territories and if you happen to get caught up in the bullshit conflicts of bigger, more serious MCs its pretty much literally fight or die. You can have a nice and easy time with friends but in time, shit WILL go down at some point. In my area, all small local MCs got the choice to either 'get disbanded' or to join bigger MCs. Because they say so. And because they don't fuck around. In the end, being involved in this scene will spell trouble sooner or later. If you just want to hang out with friends, you should not put that rocker on your back because even if you don't want any trouble yourself, you will get caught up in other people's trouble.

couldn't agree more. friend of mine got stabbed over a mc fight just because he hung out with people from the club. wrong place, wrong time, wrong people.
Their helmets, despite not being very protective, look pretty damn cool.

I see you're German. I didn't know there were MCs over there, it just didn't strike me as the kind of country who would be big into motorcycle clubs.
Are these guys considered "trouble" by the rest of the people, what stigmas are there around them - aside from the rather obvious racist tints in some of their comments and former member's ideas? I imagine they're closely monitored by the local police too.

MCs have a pretty long and extensive history in Germany. HEs and Bandidos have a pretty strong presence throughout the country and periodically fight over territory and make peace again. They have their hands insanely deep in prostitution around the country and around the eastern european borders that also spells human trafficking. It's a known problem to law enforcement, but also a neverending battle. Smaller, neutral MCs are usually tolerated but they rely on the approval of larger MCs. In time, all the old, neutral ones in my area got recruited and disbanded, merged with bigger ones. Their image varies strongly. Some people meet them with approval for their outlaw lifestyle, most stay out of their way out of fear. Its a sad truth that the outlaw lifestyle is pretty much just exploited to run dodgy or downright illegal businesses, most territorial conflicts are prostitution related and any of the smaller mcs periodically get recruited to strengthen the bigger mcs presence. Theres some great books of german ex members, but be sure to also read the ones by the 'other side', undercover investigators and such to gain perspective. Both sides' reports are biased in their own way.
