Here's the gist: Listen to other people's music and talk about it! How to play: Click on the link above you, cringe through the advertisement, listen to the user's Last.FM Radio (using the link they posted) and talk about the first few songs that you hear, then post a link to your own radio for the next person to listen to! How to get to your radio: Log in, go to your profile, click on the "Play your Library" button underneath "*your username*'s Library" Feel welcome to comment on other people's music, just don't go "LOL YOU LISTEN TO EMO/SCREAMO/RAP/COUNTRY WAT A FAG LOL" I'll start with my own library: A Tribe Called Quest - Skypager Great beat, great song, fun bass. I really love this band. Good times playing TF2 to their album Low End Theory. Definitely the band that got me listening to (and appreciating) rap. Shpongle - Stamen of the Shamen This is my favorite off of "Nothing Lasts...". The trumpets, man! Excellent! A perfect psychedelic blend of sound and rhythm. Aphex Twin - Matchsticks Creepy aphex ambience. Strange mutated vocals playing quietly in the background, little clicks and hisses of sound popping up through the synth loop. RDJ is a crazy genius. The Future Sound of London - My Kingdom (Part 2) I really dig the crunchy drums in this one. The samples add that extra level of craziness to make it really fun and fantastic. Brian McBride - A Gathering to Lead Me When You're Gone Really nice and quiet. I like the minimalist approach with the strings and guitar. Very subdued yet emotional. Okay King of Town here's my thoughts on your songs, well the first five seconds of the songs because I'm an impatient bastard. Wagon Christ - Kwikwidetrax Very funky bassline. Beck – Lord Only Knows I love Beck. Odelay. Odelay. Odelay. Odelay. WaGawAgA – Eerieish Very calming. Brian McBride – Our Last Moment in Song Very calming also. Stars of the Lid – Fucked Up (3:57 AM) Ditto. Here's Mine. http://www.last.fm/listen/user/mason95/personal
Talk Talk - New Grass Nice song. Relaxing, but didn't seem to be going anywhere even after 3 mins. Fleetwood Mac - Don't Stop Not the worst song ever, but not too interesting either. The Smiths - Frankly, Mr. Shankly A Classic! Brilliant Song... Love - Live and Let Live Again, the type of 60s music I wouldn't listen to myself, but have no real objection to. DJ Shadow - Best Foot Forward Pretty random to be honest. Mine: http://www.last.fm/listen/user/KineticDis/personal
Foals - Balloons This is so indie it hurts. I like the synth and guitar but his voice is kinda gross. Bear in Heaven - Casual Goodbye Psychedelic indie. I like this song, but it's not quite what I listen to. Didn't do much during its length, but then again I may not have paid enough attention. Modest Mouse - Whale Song Nice bass riff and instrumental introduction. I've been meaning to get some Modest Mouse, and this just gives me more incentive. Really nice! Björk – Jóga lol björk. I've heard a lot about her, but never actually listened to any of the music. The glitchy drums from 1:10 onward are really nice. Otherwise just an okay song Four Tet - Spirit Fingers He's got a neat sound, that's for sure http://www.last.fm/listen/user/IV_VV_IV_VV_VII/personal
I'm afraid that I'll run out of the songs limit because of this thread as I do not have a subscription. Is there some sort of way around it? I don't use the radio.
I don't think the radio has anything to do with the song limit
I play a song, and it goes down. this thing
Just a reminder, your free trial of Last.fm Radio will end after you’ve played 30 tracks. Enjoying it? Subscribe for only $3.00/month

http://www.last.fm/listen/user/shaunyboyy/ here's mine, bet most of you don't like it
I started it up and didn't really care for it at first but it makes nice background music while browsing GD.
I'll do King_of_Town The National – Baby, We'll Be Fine Very different from what I'm used to, nice deep voice, nothing else really stands out to me. The Dead Texan – A Chronicle of Early Failures, Part Two Has started off very slow, should I have listened to part one first? It's 2 minutes in and I haven't really heard much yet. 2:30 There's some sounds similar to birds now, it's very nice and relaxing. 4 minutes it started to build up a little more but I'm getting bored so I'm going to skip it. Orbital – Adnan's Loving the nice little sounds near the beginning like the water dripping, it's starting to sound like a kitchen environment but made into music. Now it's starting to get better although it's a little repetitive. It's still kinda the same after 3 minutes but I'm enjoying it so I'll probably listen to this one till the end. It seems to be made up of small sounds but lots of them. It just completely changed. When everything stopped and a nice melody started. Enjoyed this one. Nine Inch Nails – The Persistence of Loss Not like a lot of other nine inch nails stuff, very quiet and ambient. WaGawAgA – gnightss a b trip Very slow starting but seems promising. Very calming, relaxing. Quite bassy. It changed about half way through but wasn't very thrilling. http://www.last.fm/listen/user/Anthrax713/personal
I'll do this Moby - Porcelain awesome song. liked it for years. Immortal Technique - Sierra Maestra it was a beat with a trumpet and only 40 seconds long... The Secret Lemon Project - Bitter boring dubstep Tenacious D - Kielbasa not funny Bob Marley - Roots, Rock, and RegGAY I hate reggae http://www.last.fm/listen/user/penguinbuddy/personal
Van Gogh: Postal Service - Such Great Heights I've always liked this song, although it's definitely not as great as I last remembered it to be. Beautiful melodies, good beat, and sweet lyrics. Probably the most pop-y song I can say that I really enjoy. Tera Melos - Party with Tina Very strange yet satisfying drumline. I've never really listened to much Math Rock, although my friend knows the drummer from Hella. I like the sax at the end. Fear Before the March of Flames - The 20th Century Was Entirely Mine Metal with the generic braaagaaaaaagraaaaaablaaaaaa. The song gets much better (actually quite good) when the song dips down at the middle. Then it gets real shit again. Bon Iver - Blindsided I really like this song. Never heard of the guy, but he has a great sound. Real mellow and emotional. 2 0' Clock Girlfriend - CSI Okay man fuck this. It's a minute long but I can't even finish it. http://www.last.fm/listen/user/IV_VV_IV_VV_VII/personal
Van Gogh: http://www.last.fm/listen/user/IV_VV_IV_VV_VII/personal
The National - About Today Mellow, relaxing. The vocals are odd yet somehow fit in with the song. Orbital - Dwr Budr Very ambient. It is relaxing, but it just isn't the type of music that I would listen to. Ween - Chocolate Town Wut? It is quite.... weird.... if I may so myself. Again, just not the type of thing I would listen to. Shpongle - Outer Shponglia Makes me go "WAT." It sounds like something that Juno Reactor would make. Meat Beat Manifesto - Solid Waste I like the tracks from The Matrix and Underworld, but sorry, just not my taste. http://www.last.fm/listen/user/Thr1c3/personal
The Prodigy - Omen (Reprise) This song actually made me smile. I love the first 30 seconds or so. Junkie XL - Stratosphere Reminds me of something I'd hear on Final Fantasy X. :u Arctic Monkeys - The View From the Afternoon I could see this song appearing in a Tony Hawk game. Arch Enemy - Taking Back My Soul Reminds me of CoF. I dislike it. :u No Doubt - Hey Baby NO NO NO NO NO. http://www.last.fm/listen/user/DreadSlop/personal
"Peach, Plum, Pear" by Joanna Newsom This intro is really annoying. Her voice makes me want to crush my head in. This is actually becoming painful to listen to. I really couldn't bear to listen to the rest of it, I'm really sorry. "Symphony #69" by Pogo Surprisingly funky. Liking the genre mix. "Daylight Robbery" by Imogen Heap I actually like Imogen Heap so this was enjoyable. I'm not fond of the guitar in it though. "Weekend Wars" by MGMT I'll be honest, I haven't heard much of MGMT aside from a few people talking about "Kids." A bit too psychedelic for my tastes. "Siamese Cities" by Metric My friend is a pretty big fan of Metric. I never really listened to any of their stuff aside from "Dead Disco" and wasn't really interested. She has a pretty mellow voice, it's rather nice actually. Not bad at all. http://www.last.fm/listen/user/holycrapitsTony/personal
Dance Gavin Dance - Untitled It was only 40 seconds or long or whatever so I dunno what to say really fun. - Be Calm I love accordions. Amazing production on the vocals, though I don't "care" for them. I liked the concept of the song. Nice. Death Cab for Cutie - Stable Song There's only one song by this band that I can stand, and it's not this one. It's okay I guess, just boring. Closure In Moscow - Vanguard I can't stand the vocals at all. Instrumentation is nice. Sage Francis - Broken Wings I really like this, though the lyrics are a bit silly. [editline]04:44AM[/editline] http://www.last.fm/listen/user/vaicavalo/personal oops almost forgot lol
Flotsam and Jetsam – Desecrator Not really a fan of this type of music, but it is pretty awesome. Diamond Head – Lightning To The Nations Same as above. Cool bass. Automatics – When the tanks roll over Poland again Not Bad. Pretty catchy chorus. Tera Melos – Last Smile for Jaron Sounds random. Anti-Nowhere League – We're the League Pretty cool, although I'm not a fan of the vocals. http://www.last.fm/listen/user/mason95/personal
pie_is_good Love- A House Is Not a Motel Not a huge fan of psychedelic stuff, but it was alright. Talking Heads- Uh-Oh love comes to town. Great band, pretty good song, though not one of their bests. The Stone Roses- Waterfall I liked the instrumentals, but the voice was a bit plain. Can- Peking O Holy crap 11 minutes, super slow, way too weird for me, can't listen to the whole thing. Massive Attack- Exchange Instrumental track, repeats the same beat over and over, boring. Heres mine. http://www.last.fm/listen/user/futuramaguy42/personal
futuramaguy: Death Cab for Cutie - No Sunlight I've been wanting to get into Death Cab for a while now. The few songs I've heard have been very good, this one is not an exception. Very good! The Hives - Tick Tick Boom Well this song is a bit too punk-y compared to what I've been listening to lately. I really don't like the "tick tick tick tick tick tick tick boom" line. I can definitely get into the groove of this song, but it may take me a while if I wanted to really appreciate the sound Robbers on High Street - Kick 'Em in the Shins I like this song a lot. Definitely dig the singer's voice, and the song's got that strong-yet-subdued vibe I really like. Dirty Pretty Things - Last of the Small Town Playboys I was pessimistic when I saw the band/song name, but it turned out okay. It's hard to explain, but there's something about this song that just doesn't work (in my opinion). Black Flag - Six Pack I like the very beginning with the bass guitar, but the rest is pretty bad. Marcy Playground - Ancient Walls of Flowers I was gonna close your radio at this point, but then this song came on. Of course, previously the only Marcy song I had heard was Sex and Candy, but this one is just as good. It's got such a good vibe! I love this guy's voice. This song is so chill. [editline]02:15PM[/editline] http://www.last.fm/listen/user/IV_VV_IV_VV_VII/personal [editline]02:16PM[/editline] If somebody gets a long song on my radio, try and listen to it at least halfway before skipping it. Especially if it's by Can.
"Chocolate Town" by Ween I've never been able to really listen to Ween. I appreciate their contributions but eh... just not my thing. "Sugar Wife" by The National I remember these guys, they're from Cincinnati. The guy has an interesting voice, sounds pretty cool. Not bad music to relax to. "No Turn Unstoned" by Luke Vibert Started out soooo slow. Got pretty interesting after ~0:50 but still a little too slow for my tastes. "Beatrice, Part Two" by The Dead Texan This is more my thing. I love the sweeping sounds, it just comes over me in a wave. Gives me the chills. :P "What's Your Name?" by Meat Beat Manifesto This is what I imagine would be playing 24/7 in The Matrix. Not bad, pretty interesting. ----- http://www.last.fm/listen/user/holycrapitsTony/personal You're probably gonna get bombarded by emo, math rock, and post-rock.
