So i just want to make some music for fun (if i can) and i just wonder what a good program could be to start with. Thanks.
Protip: Learn an instrument before you start composing music. No, seriously. 1) Pick one:

FL Studio
Reason
Cubase
2) Look up tutorials of said program on YouTube. 3) Give up after 10 minutes. 4) Relapse after a few weeks. 5) Start making covers and get a feel for what you're doing. 6) Spend 100 hours on trial & error and start tons of different projects. Finish 10 % of them. 7) Feel fully satisfied with 1 of the projects. 8) Victory!
I though the title said "Autechre Music" nevertheless start with fruity loops and move on to cubase

To be brutally honest, if you have to ask what program to use for composing music you never will produce anything good.
I wish there was a way to bring all your musical ideas to life with one click instead of having to try hundreds of different things before it actually sounds somewhat close to what were playing in your head at the time( and usually at this point, you don't remember it anymore so you'll settle for it )
Ableton Live is excellent. The interface is nice and the routing possibilities are endless. Plus, you can just use it to jam really easily.
Download Audacity for free.
Sonar
Garage Band
Download Audacity for free.
Don't go with Audacity because it just gets really messy really quick. It's good for recording small parts and editing audio, but besides that it gets really frustrating.
They're all pretty much the same (Cubase). Depends on what kind of music you want to make (Cubase).
I cant stop stareing at pepins avatar O_O
To be brutally honest, if you have to ask what program to use for composing music you never will produce anything good.
Completely stupid logic, If you have to ask what program to use for composing; it shows that you are interested in creating your own music regardless of what it sounds like. As long as you have fun doing it, you will always succeed.
Mixcraft is cheap and has tons of features. It's got several VST instruments built in and full MIDI sequencing capability, and it's expandable with more VSTs just like other workstations.
What matters most when making music is that you know what you're doing. I'm pretty convinced that you can get the same result with any DAW, some may just be easier to work with. The main thing to do is to look up some books that are about mixing and read them, because they are huge helps.
Fruity Loops is perfect to start with.
