Don't know about you, but I'm loving the late-80s atmosphere.

The internet killed the video star.

There's something really funny about "and blockbuster enforces your wishes" 80's ads were just better.

I still have one of these cards. The only Blockbuster nearby shut down a month or two ago, so I guess I should get rid of it... :(

nah you should keep it for memories
It's so weird. I remember going to the blockbuster near me for N64 games a lot. Glover, Gex, ClayFighter, and things like those.
Such strange memories of being fascinated with dropping off the movies in the box. My mom would park and send me up to drop them int he box.
I miss them somewhat, but I'd have no reason to go to one.
The gas station used to have betamax tapes for rent until about a year ago. :v:
I still go to the video store just to rent movies or games. T.V. still have better quality than the internet anyway.
I wish i could go back to the time when i would borrow a movie because i saw it's awesome cover at the video store and not because i saw a trailer i was half interested in.
Good old times.
This video is as old as me.
Damn, I feel old.

Imagine 50 years from now, when you'll be telling grandchildren about VHS and floppy disks, and then showing them the ancient technology we used to use.
Keep it.

BlackbusterCritic made it pretty clear that the CEO was a total fucking idiot.

Put it on Ebay.
bodacious man! gonna go hit the skate park then have some dominos, head home and design a geocity which looks best on netscape, share on AOL, then join the gamez chatroom and ask if they got tony hawks pro skater for the PS1 and someone does so I let it download for 1 day and dont let my mom call anyone and burn it on the chipped ps1 which my mom calls the gameboy ugh mom. blockbuster is pretty radical tho
i'm loving the 80s atmosphere aswell
that 711 disney video was awesome aswell
I miss renting videos and games :( I always used to go to Blockbuster in the weekends when I used to stay round my aunts. I kind of just wish Blockbuster tried to keep up with the time.

I think redbox more or less replaced the blockbuster since its more convenient, cheaper, and has pretty new releases. It even got video games too.
netflix was great for a while but its only updated months after a show has ended. The content gets boring pretty quick and doesnt make it worth $8 a month after a while.
I used to get so excited when we'd go to Blockbuster. I think I rented Theme Park World about 10 times.
I remember seeing foreign films about lesbian vampires as well.
There's a Blockbuster next door to my college, I hardly ever see anybody in it and why the fuck someone bought their UK arm out of administration is beyond me.
