That was beautiful. This game's trailers alone are enough to convince me that the devs deserve my money.
I like how this game has a polygonal art style. More games going for a retro vibe need to start doing that instead of 16 bit style stuff
Due Process is going for that style as well.
Our artstyle is similar, but I get more of a Quake/Unreal vibe with theirs. Their textures have more grunge and noise indicative of that artstyle, and it looks like they may be sticking to old school lighting as well. I think our poly budgets in general are higher but with lower texture budgets, no texture filtering, combined with full PBR shading and modern lighting. Luckily, there's plenty of room in the world for two 90's era retro 3d artstyle games, so I wish them the best of luck.

Walking simulator developers, like The Chinese Room, care far too much about making their games look pretty to do anything like that. It thankfully lives in a space where the work required is too high, and the fidelity is too low, for it to be ripped off by people who don't care about making something good. That said caring and wanting to make something good doesn't mean people can't still make bad shit.

These Guys gave me a keyboard tonight on stream, I'm not sure that's wise, the universe might collapse or something.

Also this is what it looks like from the guy who currently holds the #1 spot on the leaderboard for it
I really like low polygons styles, especially if they have ps1 style textures.
