Situations in shithole countries are never gonna change if those people who want to live under better conditions emigrate to other countries. The only people left in the country are those who profit under the situation and those who are too weak to leave or do something. Nothing would have changed in France if there wasn't a french revolution. Nothing would have changed in the british colonies of America if the people who wanted a better situation just left instead of fighting a war of independence.

It wouldn't be so bad if the police that catch those trying to stowaway on lorries and such didn't just let them go soon after, I mean at least finger print them or something for crying out loud, It's been on the news for the past few nights, a group will try and break into a lorry, get caught and back they are by the side of the road to try again! I mean sure, I'm not that sure what they could do but just plopping them back outside with nothing but a stern finger wave isn't really helping things here. Granted any solution would mean UK and French authorities having to actually talk to each other, plan a response which will cost them money and will mean that they will have to both take in some of the migrants which, I know, I know that's crazy talk but that is at least SOMETHING!

You can't really deport people without documentation but I don't see why it doesn't stop the French from giving them an identity, even if it's just a number. They could probably start by making the Port harder to actually get into.

While laws in the UK were heavily in favour of the state religion, it was the tolerance of features of Christianity they associated with Catholicism that they objected to the most. It would, however, be silly to suggest the Puritans founded the US.

There's a ton of other reasons behind the colonization of the US mainland other than religious reasons.
