While I would LOVE to see this become available on Steam, let's get one thing clear: The existing version of GOD HAND is already the ultimate edition.
I can't really comment one way or another on hypothetical products, but if there's demand for this, please keep vocalizing it. I think title recognition is still relatively low for this game on a mainstream level, but I do personally think it'd be a great grab on Steam, where there's a @very savvy (and big) consumer base.
We NEED this on steam. It's one of the best beat-em-ups I have ever played and it's damn hilarious too.
Also has the best credits song in existence:

easily my favorite game of all time
this HAS to get a PC port
holy shit im so excited
Never played it, but don't get too optimistic everyone. This IS modern Capcom, and they are likely to turn around and instead release some sort of thing on mobile that has the God Hand name, but is utter garbage like they supposedly did with Megaman.
I say supposedly as my phone is outdated and not game capable and I don't really keep tabs on mobile gaming.
Concerning the game, here is a Why we can't have nice things by the Cynical Brit.

hesitant to believe Capcom after "if you wanted Megaman Legends 3 to come out, why didn't you say so before we canned it"
I'd prefer something that wasn't emulatable like Dragons Dogma.

PS2 emulators are touch and go though. I mean half the time you either run it perfect or it's completely fucked.
Not to mention it's becoming harder to get hold of PS2 games like this.
I don't trust Capcom anymore, after how quickly they took down the online servers of the Monster Hunter series after release.
Yeah, just like we had to keep vocalizing our demand of Mega Man Legends 3, right?

Hesitant to believe Capcom or give them money over anything over the way they've been for the past few years.
I find this to be less news and more just wishful thinking.
Why on earth are they acknowledging God Hand, a decade old game that while people like aren't too vocal about a PC port, while Dragon's Dogma has had people wanting a PC port since day one.
What the fuck is this.

PCSX2 is one of the most solid emulator ever. The only game I've ever had issues with is ZoE2 and color changes in DBZ Budakai 2. And you can stop kidding around, no one is "getting their hands on" any PS2 games to play with PCSX2.
I bought it on PS2
I bought it again on PS3
And I will buy it on Steam
I would love for this to be released on PC.

Like I said it either runs perfect or barely at all. For me the quality of it has improved but I still have a lot of issues with it that make pretty much all games unplayable on it for me.
Also, I was inferring people buying PS2 games who actually own a PS2 like me. The cheapest I can currently get God Hand is at £17 which is crazy given MGS3: Subsistence is going for cheaper than that in some places.
£17 is not a lot for a good game. This is a good game.

It is a good game but when I can buy one of the rarest and most prized PS2 games for less than that, I have to reconsider until a better priced copy shows up.
Who is this guy, and why is his offhand comment worth getting your hopes up for?
I'd much MUCH rather see Dragon's Dogma but I'll get vocal about it if it means the Japs get more comfortable with PC.

Godhand is, too, a rare prized game on the PS2. I got my copy for 20$ with no case, and that's the only copy I've seen. A small price to pay for my second favorite game of all time.
That and the demand for Dragon's Dogma from Day 1 and all Capcom can do is say, "Uh we don't know". Why would they even bother with God Hand after this long?
WWWAAAATTTTTEEEERRR
Better than them blackmailing the fans for not buying a demo.
Yeah
Nothing will happen regardless of what a Capcom rep says

are people really comparing porting a PS2 game to PC to making a brand new game from scratch (that is also a sequel to a beloved cult classic title with high expectations)?
