There were many pictures taken, but these are just a few of the ones I found were best. I'm sure I have some other gems in my piles of maxed-out SD cards, but I'm far too lazy to go looking through all of those RAWs.
Enjoy.

I really like this one.
Beautiful shots! The macro and parrot shots being my favourites. Usually I don't like selective colouring, but I like what you've done with the towel and the dog, certainly works better when you have something interacting with the coloured subject. With the statue you've clipped a bit on the bottom right out so remember to be careful with the framing.
Good stuff!
Amazing! I love the macros, specially the plant one at the end
the parrots are awesome too
If I'm honest I really dislike macros, although they may be good macros I think they are a bad pit to fall into photography wise as they generally disregard the important rule of 'capturing the moment' as well as other things. A lot of the general photography shots are also close to the macro end of things and feel too enclosed.
these were on a D3000? Crisp as hell

It's the lenses that make the crispyness.
Great photos too :pipe:
he's using a kit 18-55 and 55-300 :aaaaa:

Of course most of that is due to size-reduction, but yes.

What do you use to reduce? In Photoshop when I reduce it's never really that sharp.

Bicubic sharpener in the size adjustment menu. That, or you can just use a sharpen filter to get something you like.

The parrots and the ladybird are my favourites.

Oh and the dog pictures.
Amazing photos, it just goes to show that a keen eye and your stock gear can really take beautiful shots. It inspires me, especially since I just got my first DSLR.

let this be a good lesson to everyone, relying on flickr or your uploading host doesn't do your picture the same justice as making it to suit your post.
(I should get to doing that more often too, honestly. I've been relying on lightroom to just resize things when I batch output to my galleries.
Stuff I forgot about.
