The global terrorist threat of ISIS has forced Michael Caine to change his name by deed poll.
His new name? Michael Caine.
Allow us to explain. The actor, born Maurice Micklewhite, told The Sun that increased airport security was causing him delays because his passport bore his birth name.
“I changed my name when all the stuff started with ISIS,” he explained.
“An airport security guard would say ‘Hi Michael Caine,’ and suddenly I’d give him a passport with a different name on it. I could stand there for an hour. So I changed my name.”
"my name is Maurice Micklewhite" just doesn't have that ring to it
Let's hope they never "blow the bloody doors off" when he is on the plane.

Well this isn't the first time Caine has had a run in with an extremist terrorist group

That's a clickbait title if I ever saw one.
Can't help but like it, though.
I love how dumb the title is, and similar titles used by other news sites (this was apparently trending on facebook).
Like ISIS actually got in touch with him, because his real name was too haram or something. The beheading stuff was bad, but they've gone too far this time.
At first I thought ISIS wanted him to change his name.

It's in the eye of the beholder, it works perfectly well both ways though.
My cocaine.
I heard he changed it when he was only 16 years old.
It's a damn good stage name to be fair.
A lot of actors have different stage names.
TBH I'd still see a Maurice Micklewhite film.
