Berlin: More than 15 million euros ($21 million) worth of cocaine has turned up in boxes of bananas delivered to Aldi supermarkets, police say.Staff working at 14 of the discount supermarkets in and around Berlin reported the stashes of narcotics tucked in the produce deliveries from Colombia, which police believe ended up at the stores by accident on Monday.
http://www.theage.com.au/world/21m-cocaine-stash-found-in-aldi-bananas-20150505-ggu2f1.html A year before: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jan/07/german-supermarkets-cocaine-banana-crates-berlin
Imagine the faces of the guys expecting the cocaine finding only boxes filled with bananas.
I never understand why someone who works at aldi's or any lower class form of employment, would turn in something as valuable as that. I know it sounds silly, but instead of gaining nothing from your find, you could either use some and have a fun night with some friends, sell it, or shit probably both with how much was there.

And Aldi is actually not a bad place to work and actually a decent wage.
To some people money isn't as valuable as doing the right thing.
hahahaha the "right" thing, to each their own moral compass I suppose, but we could really get into the morals of it and I don't see how selling a drug or using one is ever "immoral". It's beyond me.
have you not seen that episode of sunny
Was a hilarious episode :v:

Odds are, since I'm not involved with drugs at all, and know no one who deals drugs, that I'd end up getting shot or killed once someone knew how little experience I had, and how much cocaine I had. I'd rather not die because I'm trying to sell illegal drugs with no experience. I found a bag of Meth once on the street in Hawaii. Needless to say I didn't try and smoke it or sell the mysterious sidewalk meth. I called the police.

But I can understand in that case, if you really have no experience at all or something, but many people know someone or enjoy the drug every once in a while. Calling the police is just stupid and potentially harmful to yourself, in that situation, you'd have been better off just flushing down a toilet or leaving it there. Like what are the police really going to do or gain with a tiny baggy of meth, prolly do the same thing I suggested earlier considering they'd certainly know of someone, being in that line of work

Those guys expecting the cocaine probably went bananas after their discovery
Imagine the faces of the guys expecting the cocaine finding only boxes filled with bananas.
Somebody is going to die over this.
It's a far cry from discovering spiders in your bananas, at any rate.
much rather find cocaine than spiders
yeah why wouldn't the teenagers working at aldi turn to selling coke
I didn't say start a career selling coke, but if you come across, why not make a couple thousand dollars in a day? Sure there's potential risk, but it's certainly worth it if you got rid of it without issue, cause really who couldn't use some extra money. I have a bad feeling a majority of the folks calling me dumb for thinking so, must have lived some sheltered suburban no fun lives. There's worse drugs than cocaine for sure.
There seems to be a leaked video of the teens afternoon the day they found the cocaine
a few thousand isn't worth the associated risk to a lot of people keep up the holier than thou attitude lol
much rather find cocaine than spiders
At least you don't have the possibility of dying with the most gigantic boner with cocaine. :v:
a few thousand isn't worth the associated risk to a lot of people keep up the holier than thou attitude lol
Right, I'm holier than thou :v:
yeah u are dude you're calling people sheltered because they would turn in drugs rather than risk legal issues not to mention these crates probably never reached anyone working below management level anyways?? [editline]5th May 2015[/editline]
yeah u are dude you're calling people sheltered because they would turn in drugs rather than risk legal issues
I was going off of what ajacks said about getting shot and what have you, it made it seem like he hadn't been to a party in his life or something. I just don't think someone should speak about something they have no experience about, and generally it's those upper class suburban types that have the sort of thought process about these controversial concepts. And If I came off that way, I certainly don't mean to, I really don't think I'm better than anyone, it's just frustrating to me how people can be so afraid of something they know nothing about, although I suppose that's exactly what fear is. All in all It's only my opinion, people can do what they want.
you're being condescending on people who know less about doing and selling drugs than you (apparently?) people do think it's like the movies. a lot of people are scared of drugs and the people involved with them to a degree it's justified, and i doubt you know what the drug market is like in Berlin considering your flag

i mean like, i live in an area where you would've probably ended up getting shot or kneecapped by the IRA/RAAD for dealing or endorsing drugs at all in the past. you can hardly blame someone for being scared of drugs in a lot of situations

I will say this though, if individuals where more educated on the matter, I feel many wouldn't feel so afraid of them, and the illegality of them just makes them all the more scary, which to me is not right, again a minority opinion, but mine none the less.
Pirate's treasure was a hard fucking Runescape quest
I was going off of what ajacks said about getting shot and what have you, it made it seem like he hadn't been to a party in his life or something.
Oh great you already sound like a moron with that line of logic.
I just don't think someone should speak about something they have no experience about, and generally it's those upper class suburban types that have the sort of thought process about these controversial concepts.
Judging by your "preconceptions" you're fucking clueless. I'm poor as shit, does that mean I'm more likely to take the cocaine and use/sell it? In fact I'd do the same as this Aldi workers and turn it in. Not because "Oh your moral compass" but because I don't TRUST IT. Why the fuck would to take drugs from a random stash and think that's acceptable? Opps, now you're addicted to meth because you thought it was cocaine, what a stupid situation you got yourself into now.
And If I came off that way, I certainly don't mean to, I really don't think I'm better than anyone, it's just frustrating to me how people can be so afraid of something they know nothing about, although I suppose that's exactly what fear is.
No, common sense dictates you don't just shove random white powder up your nose, or inject it, or any other way of using it for that matter, let alone sell it. I mean for fucks sake you're acting like this is nothing is a problem.
Sure beats finding a dead baby monkey in a banana box like I did.
Sure beats finding a dead monkey in a banana box like I did.
Oh god I'd be sad as fuck.
