Shame, I wanted to see such a launch...
I watched this for like half an hour. I got a bit worried when they delayed it, but then they finally started the countdown!
So I started fapping and, perfect timing! I came the exact moment the Falcon was launched! :buddy:
Watched it for a while, lost signal, logged on again, watched as it spun around Earth for a while. Then it lost signal as it passed over the horizon at over 7000 meters per second.
I can almost hear the CEO: OH GOD SO MUCH MONEY SO MUCH MONEY I'M SCROODGE FUCKING MCDUCK I'M ROLLING IT IN
Also, sorry guys for not telling you anda inviting you to watch the launch with me, I was too busy with my face two inches away from the screen :kiddo:
I watched it! Everything went of without a hitch. The people on SA are wondering why its rolling. I think it's a barbecue roll to try and keep things warm but I have very little knowledge. Any experts know why it is rolling?

Rolling? You mean barrel rolling in space?
Maybe because it was slightly rolling during it's upward thrust into orbit and now that it's in space they didn't counter the rolling.
In honesty: I don't know.

After entering space, spacecraft have to rotate for stability, helps them stay on course.

Actually it helps even before that.
It's the same reason why bullets roll. Gyro effect keeps the object straight.
Could you guys please post this kind of stuff like 1 day before it happens? I always miss the launch by a couple of minutes...
When i click the site, i just hear some guys saying "atminum atminum" over and over.

what
what
It seemed like a good idea at the time :ohdear:
Anyone know what the mission is about?
Anyone know what the mission is about?
Nothing, just a capsule with some sensors. It was designed to just launch and burn up, after all, this one Falcon was merely a demo.
they're still a year or two off from a manned launch, or so i hear
