Pence would be pretty bad for domestic issues, but probably not as bad as Trump. He'd certainly be less likely to put us in a nuclear standoff.

I feel like Trump, as evil and idiotic as he is, isn't competent enough to do serious lasting damage through legal means. Look at the I-Can't-Believe-They're-Not-Muslim ban. It was such shit and caused such a fucking storm that it was immediately shot down. Whereas, if Pence was in charge, I feel like he'd put up a target that actually takes a serious effort to shut down. I really don't know if the trade-off is worth it.
