Poll: Obama approval ratings drop, 52% of Americans say he's not trustworthy
Approval numbers for the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare, continue to illustrate wariness among American voters about health care reform, with only 19% saying they believe the quality of their health care will improve in the next year.
Forty-three percent say it will get worse, while 33% say the controversial law won't affect their health care, according to Quinnipiac.

Also for the first time in Quinnipiac polling, more voters say the President is not trustworthy. The new survey was conducted last week and over the weekend, mostly after Obama offered an apology on Thursday to people who are losing their insurance because of changes from the federal health care law.
When selling health care reform in his first term, the President repeatedly assured Americans they could keep their plans, if they liked them. However, that has not turned out to be the case, with some Americans holding certain plans getting cancellation notices from their providers.
According to the poll, a majority of voters, 52%, say the President is not honest and trustworthy, compared to 44% who say the opposite. It's the first time in Quinnipiac history that the president's trustworthy numbers are underwater.
The Obama administration maintains that a majority of people who are losing their current plans will be better off under Obamacare, but officials and some members of Congress have pledged to seek some kind of solution for those getting dropped by their insurance provider.
Asked if the president knowingly deceived Americans with his promise, 46% of voters said they believe he made the statement on purpose, while 47% disagreed.
"President Obama's misstatement, 'If you like your health plan, you can keep it,' left a bad taste with a lot of people," Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, said in a statement.
Will his actions not work because they are bad? or because people are not willing to accept them? (Not to say they were bad or good decisions)
Fox news is going to be smug regardless if its good or bad.
I remember the days when Republicans were racist and stupid for saying this is what the bill would do. How's it feel now?

I don't know, Republicans are still racist and stupid.

weren't they (a few of them) kind of doing it because they were racist and stupid anyways?

Not like it matters. Republicans are going to be blamed anyways. They always are, somehow.
obama sucks

republicans abducted my penis
I think during the next election we may have a republican candidate. If I remember correctly, Romney had like ~40% of the votes. If a retard like Romney can get ~40%, I'm sure a candidate whose head isn't up their ass could win.

Depends on the candidate. If its a women the whole "first women" thing will win alot of votes no matter who it is and I seriously doubt the Republicans would have a women.

Find me a politician in any party that doesn't have their head up their ass.

I for one have no issue with a woman as a president. If you have the policies that agree with and you are better than the other candidates, then I would vote for you.

True, but as a republican, Romney was definitely not the right choice.

Hope not.

Sure, he was almost as liberal as Obama. The Republican party needs to clean house of it's members who really want to be Democrats before they bring out another candidate.

No, I'm just not ignorant and dumb. We were all saying it wouldn't work for a reason, believe it or not.

uh
don't you remember in the presidential elections
there was a black guy, and also a woman trying to become the nominee?
and both were doing alright, herman cain(black nominee) had some family stuff so he dropped out, the bachmann (the girl) was fucking crazy, and eventually gave up.
Hope not.
Let's judge someone because of the political party they come from, and not their actual ideas!

If Republicans want to win the Presidency then I would highly advise against leaning farther to the right than they already are.
Also Obama, liberal. Good jokes.

I could see the republican candidate being Chris Christie. I mean who else has been in the spotlight on the republican side other than Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul? No chance in hell any of those three will win presidency and the republicans know it. I hear Rick Perry might have another go but fat chance with that one. Christie is the only republican that has a chance to snag enough democratic votes to secure the presidency.

If its Bachmann nominated I see no hopes for a Republican victory. The thought of Bachmann winning is nightmarish.
You do have a point though, poor call on my part.

Didn't he say he wasn't running for president or was that only last election?

Obama is the most liberal president the US has ever had. He has enacted a reform that will cost hugely, and people are only now realizing what the republicans have been shouting since it was first brought up: THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS FREE HEALTHCARE. Shit's expensive man, and the government of the US is not exactly good at being cheap.
The Republicans are pretty leftist, but they are supposed to be the right, not the middle. If you want to vote left, vote democrat. If you disagree with the things the democrats support, shouldn't you have an alternative? It's supposed to be the republicans but that is not always the case.
Ah well. In the end, a politician is the one that wins the election, and they are almost without exception a bunch of professional liars and shitheads.
eh, I'd rather not speculate on potential candidates right now. It'll become much more clear in a year and a half most likely.

Not even close.

During the 2008 elections there was Obama and Hillary, both representing different groups of people that have yet to have the opportunity to have a presidency. Hillary did well, but Obama was very special apparently, so yeah.

Nah man, social issues. The democrats are in favor of increased government presence in the day to day lives of the citizens. Things like government sponsored healthcare and a federally sposored "safety net" (welfare and other such programs)
I personally like the idea of the safety net, and do believe there should be a better way to deal with insurance companies to get the best price for the services provided but don't think the government is the best way to do that.
The republicans on the other hand are supposed to be cutting back on government size, expenses, and overall activity on the people of the country. They are just as bad as the democrats are about increasing the funding, they just choose different places to put it.

that makes the democrats rightist, not leftist. traditional leftists on a 1-dimensional political spectrum oppose government presence in the lives of citizens.

Both parties are in this category for different reasons.
