Private videos of a member of the Swedish parliament has been uploaded to a popular porn site. The affected party has now conducted further investigations.
Two sexually explicit videos containing footage of a Swedish politician have been uploaded to a popular porn site. The affected party does not want to comment the incident, other than stating that an investigation has started.
The videos in question are of amateur quality, and very intimate, and the politician in question is very easy to identify. In one of the clips, you can hear the person say "This is just for you". They are uploaded by an anonymous user, and not by the politican itself.
Nyheter24 has tried to reach the politican during the week, but without any results. After many attempts, an official from the affected party declared that they hade come to the mutual decision that the politican will not give any comments about the incident at all.
"We won't comment on anything, seeing as an investigation has already begun" The official says.
"We'll continue with the investigation, and see where that brings us. We'll potentially contact the police later on".
Alexandra Rodell, project manager at the Swedish Law Institute, deals with an increasingly popular phenomenon called "Revenge porn". In other words, when a person uploads nudes of another person to the Internet without that person's consent.
"It's a phenomenon that's gained a lot of attention lately. And there are several states in the U.S, for example, which have created specially designed laws to deal with it." Rodell says.
The Law Institute wants such laws to get applied in Sweden, as well.
What can someone do if it happens to them?
"It's hard, the best thing to do is to report it to the authorities. You could also contact the people responsible for the website where the footage has ended up, although they generally won't care much.
You can also ask for de-indexation (So that someone can't search for the link using, for example, Google Search)."

Nu, jävlar
Fuck, imagine the anxiety of being put through something like that.
seriously, throw the book at whoever was responsible for this, revenge porn is one of the lowest crimes one can commit.

Not entirely true. Had a friend who this happened to, and she managed to get it pulled, even from 'shadier' sites like motherless.

The problem is it will be reuploaded, then you get it pulled, then it gets reuploaded, then you get it pulled...rinse repeat. People download copies every time it's reuploaded, so those copies get spread around. The only real defense is to make sure your sex tape is so poorly done, or the people in it so unattractive, that no one wants it. Then it'll die out on its own due to disinterest among the people who'd otherwise spread it. This won't work for politicians or celebrities though, since there's an inherent interest to their videos no matter what.
I hope it was Annie. She is a nice milf.

That comma bothers me greatly
Was the victim male or female? The translated article is ambiguous about that.

Does it really matter in the end?
Does it really matter in the end?
Not really, but I'd find it more interesting if they were male since you don't hear those cases often.

You're disgusting

He's disgusting because he wants to see a chick he finds hot naked? Maybe insensitive, but definitely not disgusting.

I dare you you wouldn't fap to her if you saw her naked.

Fun Fact: Some people have, y'know, a little thing called self control. It's a nice thing to have.

Yeah, he is pretty disgusting for wanting to take advantage of private videos uploaded to a public website to try shame a politician. Are women just objects to you? do you actually not understand why this video isn't ok to see?

It's like some people are so unable to control themselves they're just like "naked woman, engage masturbation" and it's really sad honestly
Not really, but I'd find it more interesting if they were male since you don't hear those cases often.
Was a female SD politician.
Was a female SD politician.
To be perfectly honest, my first thought was "What if it's Jimmie Åkesson, and it turns out he's actually homosexual?"

Yes, that is exactly what I referred to.
Think a bit longer than five seconds. What exactly about his comment is it that I dislike?
I wouldn't really trust Nyheter24. They're not a good source of reliable news.
Was a female SD politician.
That changes it, never mind.

Motherless is not shady at all any more. They constantly pull tons of videos.
"There is no offense in refusing a request for intimate images"
This should just be promoted as an axiom of the digital age. Nothing is infallible.
