• Ugliness is a Genetic Defect and Lifelong Handicap

Science doesn't fuck around. No matter how much feel-good bullshit you've conditioned yourself to believe, there's no escaping the influence of a core biological component in your decisions. Statistics show that more attractive people have every conceivable advantage in life. They are more easily trusted, more easily respected, more rapidly helped by others, more inclined to get hired and selected for anything when interviewed, more easily find sexual partners...need I go on? It's easy to see the feedback loop this causes between good decisions, good results, and reinforcement. If you're good looking and smart, you'll go far in life. If you're good looking but dumb, you'll have ample opportunities still. If you're ugly and smart, you can get somewhere but you'll have to work twice as hard for it. Ugliness itself is a disability and the amount of ugliness you possess is proportional to the severity of your disability. Since this is such an unpleasant fact of life for those that don't genetically luck out, I think that all successful aesthetic modifications should be respected. From minor things like make-up on women to the Chinese practice of breaking and extending shin bones for height, if you can pull it off, go for it. Steroids, plastic surgery, a good outfit and bitchin' hairdos are all one in the same. Of all the top fortune 500 CEO's, over 58% of them are 6 ft tall or more, with most of the rest just under 6 ft (http://www.gladwell.com/blink/blink_excerpt2.html). Wanna tell a white-collar Chinese-American oompa loompa that the world is theirs if they just have the right personality? As for beauty being totally subjective? Anthropology says fuck you. There's different manifestations of it from culture to culture but the core point of beauty is to demonstrate good genes. Remember, the first step is to admit you have a problem. Stop all the bullshit rationalizing that beauty doesn't matter to you. Every tribal motherfucker out there dolled up; even the fiercest warriors and hunters weren't above painting their faces, still think you are?
