I built one a couple years ago, and it can only fire about 200 feet, and is falling apart. Do you think it would be worth the time and money to build a better one?
I built one out of 2x4 and 4x4 and it mounted in the stake holes of a 1990 Ford Ranger. I used a 5 gallon bucket with concrete for the weight, and an aircraft cable to stop it at a given release. I launched baseballs off a baseball field from home plate to about the fenceline. Don't know how far it is, but it cost me $100 to make, and I didn't cut anything. I used 8 and 10 and 16 ft lengths as is. I would always be up for making another one, so you should be too. They're fun for very little work.
I have calculated the cost to be about 150-175 dollars, but I guess it would be worth it to make. I would have to make it more portable, too. My old one is so fragile, I can't move it.
Yes.

Take pictures.
I would need to find a camera... I'm not even sure if I have one.

Do you live in the middle ages or something? [sp]terrible joke, sorry[/sp]
Well, I don't usually have much need for a camera...
Where you at? I'm sure someone on here is near you and has a cam you could borrow.
Why is "Should I build a trebuchet?" even a question that needs to be answered?
I do not understand why this is even being questioned right now lets get some pictures here.
