I still think that BF2142 is the best BF that there has ever been.
Hated BC1, put it down after ten minutes because of the single player spawning system. The game felt incomplete when I just got pushed back to the checkpoint, but everything I had done stayed exactly the same.
Any Battlefield after 2142 isn't a real Battlefield.

Wow! After watching this it reminds me of how much I loved every battlefield game I played EXCEPT bad company .. I miss the good old days with BF2 and 2142 though :\ And I wish I had money for BF3 right now.

Battlefield 2142 is my favourite battlefield, it's also the only one that doesn't seem to work any more.

I'm thinking of getting BF3, it looks like a lot of fun. My only issue is that I have a shitty Internet connection, so it's kind of pointless buying a multiplayer driven game that I can't play.

2142 is where they really refined the game and added some of the most used features today. Yet EA abandoned it for some reason halfway during its advertising campaign for some reason so it never got as popular. However it was the first Battlefield that made me stay up until 5/6am just playing. :v:
2142 was amazing, still one of, if not my favourite multiplayer shooters.

BF2, Strike at Karkand, I don't care how many times I raged, that shit was golden mayhem and fun back then. Wake Island, doing bombing runs on the carrier was amazing. Being an ass and swimming onto the carrier then doing some infiltration shit was fun as hell. They need to have 24/7 BF2 map servers on BF3

Sort of disappointed how fleetingly BF: Vietnam was mentioned because it was the first Battlefield game I played (and my favourite), but awesome nonetheless.
I wasn't sure about Battlefield 3 until I saw this. Now I'm busy order some more RAM.

Battlefield Vietnam is my favorite. I spent so many hours playing that game. Bad Company 1 was fucking great too, when I played that on Xbox it was something totally new from the Battlefield series. The campaign is great and the multiplayer was really cool to play. Bad Company 2 was good too but that mainly focused on improving on the multiplayer, which it did very well. I have all of the older Battlefields, now I'm waiting for my copy of Battlefield 3 to arrive from Amazon.
Nothing will ever compare to the classic Battlefield. I hope some people return to the classics to fill some servers, I really miss those games.
2142 was the best because of Titan mode, 1942 because everything else.

It's just like bf vietnam. They made it, but they already knew the next game would outdo it easily.
I actually find it interesting to see some people seem to have entered the world of battelfield with 2142, or just prefer 2142 over 1942.

Last week when I played there were still a lot of people playing it, but I did notice that over time a lot of people left.
Anyways, I think I'm going to see if anyone is playing 2142. If there are, I'm having fun tonight.

Oh wow, I'm 33 minutes into the video, but the clips they show of Bad Co. 1 are making me want to play it again. One of the clips even gave me a man tear. Bad Co 1 had a big impact on me I guess...
They've been going down since 2. I don't know why, but after that nothing felt like a real BF game. 3 included.. damn shame.
