Didn't Dead or Alive stay quite popular in Japan?
jeez looking at him nowadays, his appearance was... different from these videos.
still, rest in peace.
There's a "spinning in his grave" joke somewhere here, but I'm not gonna be the guy.
RIP, but not surprising seeing what he was like in the more recent years.
First Jack Chick and now Pete Burns? This year sure takes a toll
Although Pete and Dead or Alive had only one smash hit about "spinning right round like a record", they also at same time did a lot for 1980s music. Why? Because Stock-Aitken-Waterman - it was first their giant success (#1 in UK and in shitload of countries) and you maybe know how succesful this producing trio was in the last half of 80s.

Rest in peace.
Was listening to DoA on the way to college this morning, shame he went the way he did
I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did, honestly.
Literal walking train wreck of self-excess.
Remember meatspin?
Yeah...
Holy fuck, he took that whole Michael Jackson route and fucking blasted it out of the water. RIP but damn, man why do that shit to your face?

When I saw the headline, I was honestly expecting him to have gone out like David Carradine. He managed to retain at least a sliver of dignity, I guess.
