Isn't the chance of catching a serial killer often really low or does that depend entirely on the country/amount of resources available? Either way I hope they catch him/her.

Although, I can't imagine this guy is leaving much evidence if he just shoots the victim and flees, granted he's taking the shell casings with him.

It's why in germany we have less than 100 people working as "profilers" because it just is not needed. But I know for a fact that the situation in the USA is very different and they have tons of people working in the field. So yeah it totally depends on geographics and ressources available.

Or if you're asking why there is such a drastic difference it comes down to human and financial resources. The FBI invented all the methods used over here so it's not like we found some better way to catch killers.

Guess I won't be going North of the river for a while. I'm not sure why he/she would choose this time of year though, it's hot as hell here (mid 90s at 8 in the mornings recently).

CCTV only does so much.
