You asked for it (at least judging from the hundreds of comments on this UbiBlog post when the game was first revealed – and the thousands of comments on Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere). And now Ubisoft is delivering. Today, Ubisoft confirmed that along with the previously announced PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, Tom Clancy’s The Division will be available on PC as well.
Well no reason for me to get a ps4 anymore
FUCK YEAH! Makes me happy I actually signed the petition (even if it possibly didn't help).
Awesome news, would be a lot better on PC anyway
Jesus christ companies are listening to people, we should begin repenting our sins since clearly the end of the world is coming.
Hasn't every single Tom Clancy title in recent years sucked pretty hard?
I'm getting flashbacks to Ghost Recon Future Soldier... ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Holy shit, this is awesome!

Well, I am still going to get one for Kingdom Hearts 3, and that's the only reason right now.
Also, possible release of Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter and/or Ratchet and Clank
I love the concept of this game, it's one of the only games I'm actually looking forward to right now.

Yes.
The prefix of tom clancy used to denote a game with some measure of restraint and intelligence in its gameplay, then it became the prefix for a bunch of generic action shooters that perform far better on the market than they really should.
The division looks interesting but I won't hold my breath. Then again the different ubisoft teams are chalk and cheese really.

Yeah I really enjoyed the early titles; especially stuff like the original Rainbow Six.
I'm hopeful this might turn out ok, but I doubt it...
Especially as PC is obviously an afterthought.
Less reason to go rush and buy a PS4 now. Assuming i'm not bankrupt for the rest of my life i'll end up with one eventually but it's probably a better idea to wait a bit of awhile anyways.
Wasn't aware that there would be new info at Gamescom, either, so that's exciting.
GFWL is closing, PC is getting Division, Watch Dogs and Probably even gta 5 Its a living dream folks.
Also, its interesting that the E3 demo doesn't seem to have any button prompts at all ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWJD8DMasCU ); it would be a perfect marketing strategy to try and piss of PC gamers and then play pretend hero just a few months later announcing it for PC.
All the comments on the ubisoft website article that originally announced the game (the comments demanding a PC version) look like shit I get in my spam filter.
I never doubted it. Ubisoft is releasing all of their big games on PC.

Until the dozens of great Sony exclusives come out.
[editline]20th August 2013[/editline]
Also I'm not bothered by games being an "afterthought" for PC gaming this early in the console cycle. The hardware is great for the time. They can do a lot with it and we're always going to get the best version. High res textures. Higher resolution support (2560x1440/2560x1600/3840x2160), possibly modding (given that it is Massive Entertainment).
I'm worried about the games 6-7 years after the PS4 come out and we have to settle for less.

massive entertainment is developing the division
their previous games include world in conflict, far cry 3, the ground control series, and asscreed: revelations
this oughta be a pretty good game
So, does this mean that all of the phone/tablet UAV things are coming over too?
Those looked cool as shit.
Open world game focused on cooperation seems like a great game to play with friends.

The golden age of gaming is upon us
I'm telling you, as of AC4's development through Division's release, Ubisoft is on the ball and getting shit done the right way, and correcting minor mistakes along the way, it seems. Hopefully they don't over tax the Division Devs
The golden age of gaming is upon us
You may be more right than you know.
wtf is that
I hope you dont need to use Uplay for the division, Uplay is truly awful.
I hope you dont need to use Uplay for the division, Uplay is truly awful.
I can take that sacrifice to just have it on PC.
Proof that listening to the community will always win their hearts.
Edit: And apparently, I've won your's: Laserbeams.
I hope you dont need to use Uplay for the division, Uplay is truly awful.
I've learned that uPlay isn't that bad as long as you get your games through Steam. I'd much rather be able to buy a game through Steam and have to use uPlay than be required to buy/use Origin. At least Ubisoft aren't dicks with "exclusives".
The golden age of gaming is upon us
2 games coming to pc and 1 maybe
sure is a golden age

Team Ghost baby!

Well, if MGS:V is released on PC, I won't be getting a PS4.
Potentially for Watchdogs, but I can wait a year for the price to drop on the console.

uplay isn't even that bad
i have no idea why people find it so obstructive
