In a post on Twitter, Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto said: "Mission accomplished: We got him." Guzman was one of the world's most-wanted drug lords, whose Sinaloa cartel smuggled cocaine, heroin and methamphetamines to the US. The US had offered a $5m (£3.2m) reward for information leading to his capture.
damn he didnt get trump before getting locked in again
I'm surprised he wasn't killed since capturing him alive didn't work the last two or three times. Mexico should give him to the US since they can't keep their shit together.
Good to hear.
If he goes to a Mexican prison again he'll eventfully get out yet again, dude has WAY too much influence in his country.
I bet he'll be out in 4 months
Please deport him here so we can lock him in Florence.
I bet he'll be out in 4 months
days*
I bet he'll be out in 4 months
:toxx:?
Update: He's escaped
:toxx:?

Update: He's escaped
I bet you feel silly now.
July 11th, 2015. For the second time, Guzman escapes from prison. He escapes using a mile long tunnel that was 60 ft underground and had a motorcycle rigged to run the whole way.
Fucking amazing, really how can you top that.
I bet you feel silly now.
I don't think he actually did.
They better don't use deaf guards again
His wealth is estimated at $1bn.
huh, i think this number is probably more believable than the ridiculous $10B one trump put out
Surprised they don't just execute him considering the past events
They "capture" him whenever they need a big headline to divert attention from something else it's getting really old
You'd think knowing his knack for building tunnels they'd put ground sensors around the prison. Or maybe put him on the second floor this time.
Just put a god damn bullet in his head and burn the body.

Why don't they just execute him?
If Narcos is any indication, putting him in an american prison is the worst possible thing they could do to him(or anyone for that matter)
I'm surprised he wasn't killed since capturing him alive didn't work the last two or three times. Mexico should give him to the US since they can't keep their shit together.
Ha.
Gotta wonder what burning the body will do, is it going to prevent his ghost from selling ecto-coke or something?
So the family or his subordinates can't have a proper burial. Cremate the body and scatter the ashes.
So the family or his subordinates can't have a proper burial. Cremate the body and scatter the ashes.
Wonder what family this guy has.
Extradite him and put him in ADX, Thats the best place for Guzman. Plus it would give Juan Abrego a friend.
Wonder what family this guy has.
He has a doofus son who may have accidentally revealed his location in Puerto Rico a few months ago by taking a picture of him and not turning off location when posting it, and I'm pretty sure thats the only family hes got.
If Narcos is any indication, putting him in an american prison is the worst possible thing they could do to him(or anyone for that matter)
Its the worst thing because the moment he is in the U.S he is done. That's the end of the line
If Narcos is any indication, putting him in an american prison is the worst possible thing they could do to him(or anyone for that matter)
He'd get the chance to hang out with Carlos Lehder, exchange drug smuggling stories and stuff! :v:
http://edition.cnn.com/2016/01/08/us/el-chapo-us-extradition/
The United States appears almost certain to request the extradition of drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, who has twice escaped prison in Mexico. The U.S. Department of Justice said Friday it doesn't comment on pending extradition requests "before they become the subject of public judicial proceedings." But spokesman Peter Carr said: "I can confirm that it is the practice of the United States to seek extradition whenever defendants subject to U.S. charges are apprehended in another country." Guzman is included in at least seven indictments in various U.S. jurisdictions.

He'd get the chance to hang out with Carlos Lehder, exchange drug smuggling stories and stuff! :v:
It would make a heart warming movie if two rival drug kingpins meet in an american prison where they have nobody to boss around and protect them so they decide to look after each other because they're both in similar circumstances and find out they have a lot in common and become best friends and lovers
