Hi everyone, I'm here today to talk to you about a band that I really like, Enter Shikari.

Enter Shikari are an English post-hardcore band formed in Hertfordshire, St Albans to be specific. They used to be a band called Hybryd, but they all moved into this new band, Enter Shikari in 2003, I don't know anything about Hybryd so I don't know whether Enter Shikari was just a name change or something completely different.
The band features Roughton "Rou" Reynolds on vocals and electronics, Liam "Rory" Clewlow on guitar and vocals, Chris "Batty C / Battenberg" Batten on Bass and vocals, and finally Rob "Rob" Rolfe on drums.
In 2003 and 2004 they released some EPs and stuff, 2006 saw their first physical single being released; "Sorry You're Not a Winner/OK Time for Plan B" was released on October 30, 2006. Enter Shikari got a spot on the Gibson/MySpace stage at 2006's Download Festival. They have also had interviews with popular music press such as Kerrang! and Rock Sound. On November 4, 2006, they became only the second unsigned band to ever sell out London Astoria (the first being The Darkness).
The band's debut album, Take to the Skies, was released on March 19, 2007 and on March 25 it reached number 4 in the UK Official Album Charts. It contained re-recordings of many of the songs that had featured on the demo EPs and singles that were released before the release of the album.
Then they did a load of tours and stuff and then their second album, Common Dreads was released on the 15th June 2009 and debuted at #16 on the UK top 40 album chart. I know I didn't put a load of information about what they did inbetween albums so if you care about that stuff then go to wikipedia.
Anyway I think it's time for some music!:banjo:

you can see how the recording quality and the skill of the band members has increased a lot in the second album.

I really love their music, I've liked them since forever, and I'm going to see them at the Hammersmith apollo in February.
So that's Enter Shikari!

Also if you think this is a shit thread and needs more, tell me what you want changed and I'll try to do my best. If you don't like the music, go away.
Bah, I really don't like Enter Shikari, but I find it hard to specify what exactly I dislike about them. To me they're not that dissimilar to other bands I really like. But, I just...I just don't know why.

Edit: Tell me, what do you think of Genghis Tron and HORSE the band?

I don't like either of those bands. Why?
I love Enter Shikari. One of my favorite bands, if not my favorite. I went to see them on the 12'th and they were incredible. They have brilliant stage presence and are great showmen. Rou's voice was perfect live too.
Oh yeah my fav song by them is probably Mothership. I was so happy when they played it live.
im seeing them 18 nov

I <3 Genghis Tron, HORSE the Band and Enter Shikari.
These guys have majorly improved since Hybryd. I have all their EP's and studio releases

I've got their demo work. :3:
I remember finding these guys by searching You're Winner (I was searching for big rigs videos)
I've got their demo work. :3:
Same.
I don't like either of those bands. Why?
Because I found them all at the same time (roughly) and I see them all as fairly similar.
Sorry you're not a winner is probably my favorite.
They're probably one of my favourite bands, but their newest album let me donw a little, Take to the skies still remains one of my favourite albums.
Take to the skies is definitely better IMO.
Also which version of OK! Time for plan B! does everyone prefer?

NEW?

OR OLD?
I prefer old, a lot.
I read the title as 'Enter Shakira', someone shoot me please.
When I told some people at my school I was going to see Enter Shikari they said 'Whats enter shikira?' So you're not alone
It's funny though, I was into these guys around '05 and no-one knew who they where or liked them, Once they made it big and became known, everyone liked them.
Still though, great band, I missed their last gig, really wanted to go though, hope they come back. :D
And the old version is much better.
saw them live in '07, music wasn't good (at all) but the show was fun to watch
